I am not the one that posts negative reviews, but this company needs to be reviewed . Air Controlled Environments is a company I will NEVER use again for our business in Ontario. Missed appointments, no communication, and the absolute poorest customer service from Penny. It’s like she gets a kick from treating people badly. STAY AWAY!! Find a professional company for your business needs.
EDITED: Added additional pertinent points about my experience.I had the misfortune of being connected with Air Controlled Environments through my home warranty. Never have I ever dealt with anyone as rude as Penny. It was so bad that I had to write a review between calls as it needs to be out there immediately. I came back to flesh this out so that it paints the entire picture of just how absolutely atrocious Penny is with prospective customers.I run a business of my own and am not available at every waking moment to answer her calls. Some days I am on back-to-back calls for 6-8 hours a day. My inability to immediately answer her calls seems to rub her the wrong way and somehow justifies her rude disposition. She seems to expect that customers will halt whatever they are doing to ensure that her call is answered. Whatever it is, her behavior is completely unacceptable. I requested service via my home warranty provider on July 11. Penny called and left a voicemail on August 10 (one month late). I got back to her on August 11. In this initial scheduling call, she was short with me and rude. For example, she provided a window of time of 2 or 3 hours for technician arrival. I had a call that would have cut 30 minutes off of that time and asked if they could come a half hour later. She laughed at me like I was stupid for asking and condescendingly responded with, "No, we can't do that." I should have told her "no thanks" at that point but I just wanted the work done ASAP and allowed the appointment to be scheduled for the following weekFast forward to today's appointment, the technician called today at 9:12 to confirm our appointment. I was on a call with a client at the time. The technician's voicemail was pleasant, and informed me that he cannot proceed without hearing back from me. Assuming this is company policy and that is fair from my perspective. Penny called at 9:16 (four minutes after the technician called), and left a voicemail claiming that the technician "has been trying to call me" (he called once), and telling me that my appointment was canceled. A bit of an exaggeration but fine, I figured I would call back. I called at 9:21 (five minutes after her call and 9 minutes after the technician called), let her know who I was, and her greeting for me was "mmhmm" in the same condescending tone I had encountered on the initial scheduling call. She had no valid response when I asked if it was unreasonable for me to finish my call, and call her back literally within 5 minutes. Her only response was that "they are very busy" and "what, are we supposed to wait for you?" Do you want my business? Is your technician physically at my door right now? No, their technician was still 30 minutes away and was still available to honor the appointment. I would think some "grace" period to call back to confirm the appointment could be considered reasonable. Somehow I need to be immediately available to answer her every call? If answering calls immediately is such a deal breaker for them, she should be asking for an alternate number for the other homeowner, who is on the home warranty policy and is identified by name.At this point, I want to cancel the appointment as I just cannot do business with someone like this. As I'm asking to cancel, she tried to cut me off to say something and yelled over the phone to let her speak. I insisted on canceling to avoid wasting any additional time with her. This was a totally and utterly unacceptable interaction and is what happens when a service provider thinks that customers are expendable. I called my home warranty company to share this experience as I never want to be linked up with these guys again. Folks, you have a choice in who services your house - even when receiving service via a home warranty claim. All you need to do is call and ask to be matched with another provider due to concerns with reviews read online. There are many HVAC companies to choose from out there. If this company isn't going to
I seldom take the time to write reviews and if this wasnt a work order from my insurance "PENNY" would have lost this company my buisness. As a business owner I seriously urge the owners to follow up on her bad reviews before it does cost them clients. When she says to me "anyway" after I apologize for having to cut her short as my dr. Walked in the room, and "oh wow really"when I say I would have to get with my insurance as they (a/c dont work weekends (according to penny) and she calls and lies to my insurance saying i was cancelling .oh and did I foeget to mention that she said (extremely rudely) "we will cancel the order" becuse we are not holding that big piece of...read full review
