I searched locally for a pool design company to redesign my backyard and include my existing pool into a lush garden landscape but with no success. No one was able to recreate for me the vision that I had. I wanted something that was from the cookie cutter designs that seemed to be offered here locally. Came across Distinguished Pools in my search through google and multiple picture and despite their long distance reached out and eventually talked to Dan, who assured me that with the right information he could design the dreams that I had. I waited a long time to write this review. As in years. I was afraid Dan wouldn't help us with our warranty in the event anything ever went wrong if I wrote a bad review. I finally decided to just write it. We completely redid our pool with Dan, and he created a beautiful-looking pool. We ran into problems in the construction and he offered us several possible intelligent paths forward. There were some delays and other normal kinds of hiccups that happen in major construction. But all was relatively well until the end.I had to hound them for months about little things like some tile runners they missed replacing. The mastic around the pool deck looked AWFUL. I was referred to Distinguished Pools by a friend who lives in San Diego county, after I had my pool renovated by another contractor since we leave in a different county. I was experiencing issues with the pool finish and did not know how to go about that and needed a professional advice. Dan Ramos the owner took the time to look at pictures I emailed him and consulted me how to proceed with the problem I am having and also over the phone. On top of that he refused to except any payment for his time. Dan is knowledgeable attentive and a real nice guy which is very hard to find these days in any business who has no benefit from you as a potential customer.I would highly... read full review
