My eyes met Dr. Lam about 8 years ago when I had just moved to Brentwood. I have followed her to 3 different locations and her care is well worth the drive to Pleasant Hill. Dr. Lam takes the time to genuinely understand your concerns and needs, which is rare nowadays. The new owner of this optometry is the BEST in town!

I had an eye appointment with Dr. Chau Lam (new owner!! - not related!) today and probably the best eye exam I've ever had. The ones I usually go to are quick 10-15 mins in and out, not much discussion about my eyeballs. Dr. Lam was complete opposite of what I'm used to. She was very thorough in regards to my eye sight changes, how high blood pressure will effect my eyes long term if not treated, the wellbeing of my current eyes overall, etc. Wow. My appointment lasted way longer than I expected and she was very patient, let me ask questions and gave me suggestions in regards to new lenses. She did not try to upsell anything since my current frames are fairly new and expensive. Rita was very helpful in calculating how much I'll be paying out of pocket and how much insurance covers. Very easy and enjoyable experience. No hidden costs which is always a bonus! Will definitely be recommending Dr. Lam to anyone and everyone who is looking for a better eye doctor. Thanks Chau!!!
