“Monty's is located in an unassuming location at the corner of Pershing and Manchester Ave in Playa Del Rey. There isn't a sign up front, and so you'll note it to be next to Cafe Boheme and a cross-fit gym. It's a low key, clean place that has been in the neighborhood for many years, apparently. What I like about Monty's is that, despite their tiny parking lot, you have decent prices in comparison to the rest of the neighborhood. It is $5 a shirt, and you'll get it back in decent shape, and they'll put red tape on collars that need work. For the most part, the lady that runs the place is relaxed and you may even need to call a number when coming in to get an attendant to come over from the nearby laundromat. I do think they could use more business as the pandemic has been tough on dry cleaning establishments, and they have reduced hours between 10am to 4pm. If you can't find parking, just park in the adjacent parking lot and walk your stuff over, as there is a pathway between the two lots to walk over. I hope you get to enjoy their handiwork, and know that none of your clothes will ever go missing.“

“I highly recommend Maureen's Alterations. I had bought a nice dress a few sizes too big years ago because I really liked the material, style, color, print, etc. I never came around having it altered because there was not a special occasion. My son was due to graduate college and I figured it was time. My usual alterations place was not fulfilling my expectations since the last 2 alterations did not come out right and was way overpriced. I set about looking for a new place on Yelp and found Maureen. I was pleasantly surprised and very satisfied at how well she altered a size 12 dress to fit my size 6 frame. The dress came out perfect, as if I had bought it originally in a size 6.. Her work came out clean and seamless (for lack of a better word). It fit very well and to top it off, she charged me a very reasonable amount. I am already looking for more items in my closet to have altered. I don't normally write reviews but I felt the need to leave one in this case. I highly recommend this place and will be referring friends if they need any alterations done. Don't look any further, stop by Maureen's and you won't regret it!“
