Most other places said they couldn't do it, brought it here and they handed me back the item as if it were brand new. Could not recommend this place more. I had bought a nice dress a few sizes too big years ago because I really liked the material, style, color, print, etc. I never came around having it altered because there was not a special occasion. My son was due to graduate college and I figured it was time. My usual alterations place was not fulfilling my expectations since the last 2 alterations did not come out right and was way overpriced. I set about looking for a new place on Yelp and found Maureen. I was pleasantly surprised and very satisfied at how well she altered a size 12 dress to fit my size 6 frame. The dress came out perfect, as if I had bought it originally in a size 6.. Her work came out clean and seamless (for lack of a better word). It fit very well and to top it off, she charged me a very reasonable amount. I am already looking for more items in my closet to have altered. I don't normally write reviews but I felt the need to leave one in this case. I highly recommend this place and will be referring friends if they need any alterations done. “This is my second time using Elegance Preserved to clean my wedding dress and I couldn't be happier with their service. The pricing is very clear and I love the pick up and drop off service. Everyone is easily accessible via email or text.My dress is Sandra by Sarah Seven - it is made with satin, chiffon, and has lots of pearl details. Sarah Seven recommended Elegance Preserved post-wedding and I've used them to clean my dress ever since.My wedding was in Hawaii so the bottom of the dress was really muddy the first time I used their cleaning service. When I got my dress back a few months later, it was totally clean. The second time I wore my dress was to a concert so once again, the bottom of the dress was extremely dirty and the top of the bodice was slightly stained by brooches I put on in. I just received my dress back yesterday and once again, they did a perfect job cleaning the dress.I plan to wear my wedding dress every year on our anniversary and will keep coming back to Elegance Preserved to clean, and eventually store my dress.“
