Happened upon this store and didn't realize until I was inside that this is THE Baker Creek seed store. Like a kid in a candy shop, I marveled at all the seed packets and seed starting materials. What a lovely place with a lot of great information and items!

If you want heirloom non-GMO seeds and the widest variety of seeds for vegetables and flowers on the scene anywhere in Sonoma county this is the place to go. This place has been around for quite a few years. They used to be on the corner of East Washington and Petaluma boulevard. They have now moved down the street one block South. It's the time to plant get ready for the season get your seedlings going.

Baker Creek Heirloom Seed Store originally began in Missouri, but opened its California outlet in Petaluma in 2009. Until December 2017, it was housed in the majestic former Sonoma National Bank. The staff are knowledgeable about tons of different heirloom varieties. While they offer flowers like poppies, sunflowers and zinnias, they mostly offer herbs, fruits and vegetables.
