Called Home Depot for a quote for a HVAC system and they sent me to Monarch. They quoted me 29K!!! I was shocked. He said I need new ducts (I don't from the other qualified people who checked them) The salesperson said I qualified for a loan with a quick check.The person could not remember my name 2-3x asking my email address and name. That was weird. What was crazy was when I told them, I don't want to be pressured....he called me and right after (5-10 minutes) he left and said that their manager will take off 5K. My fiance and I felt we were being pressured. He seemed like a typical sales person that needs to make their quote. I was in corporate sales for over 10+ years and recognized his bad practices. Here is the kicker: He emailed me the docs to sign over 10 times every 3-4 days at 1:30am!!! On his second email, I told him we are going with another company and please stop sending emails to me and thanked him for his time. He did not STOP. I finally had to SPAM him because I recieved more emails from him at 1:30am. UGH. Stay AWAY!!! Bad business practices!!!! BTW- I went with a wonderful local company with great reviews. They were easy, no pressure and was happy to give them my business. End of story.
Carson the technician that come for service is great but everybody’s in the management/office need to start doing they job right. Make sure the technician got the right, correct and current information that they needed cause they’re the face of the company, they the one dealing with customers. Technician 5 stars management 1 star
Absolutely stay away. Such shady business practices. Similar story to the one already posted. Super hard sell for high static pressure readings. Field supervisor came to confirm. Plot twist - if you ask a challenging question "field supervisor" will deflect because he doesn't know HVAC at all, but he does know hard sell. He's absolutely a sales guy not a field supervisor. Background - Smart72 went out of business and Monarch took over Smart72's customer base. Monarch is owned by Mark DeVries and Smart72 by Jason DeVries. How convenient! But, they "only acquired the assets not the liabilities" so if you were a Smart72 customer and something is wrong, you are screwed anyway. Monarch is making courtesy calls and finding something dangerous wrong (high static pressure, high heat loss from old ducting) that needs immediate attention. Then comes the high pressure sales. Just save yourself the time and call a different company. In addition, they denied I had a freon leak despite there being an oily substance near the condenser and the freon level (on a 9 month old unit) being low. Incompetent on top of scammers.
