I highly recommend! Lisa was my stylist and she gave me the first hair cut of my life. I smiled the whole time! She is kind, professional, and creative! I love the ambiance as well-it feels like more than a hair salon it feels like a spa experience.

I really wanted my hair done for my birthday but I was pressed to find a salon with an open slot. Luckily, Sandra was able to take me and made my hair look amazing! I loved how nice and soft it was when I left. Furthermore, Sandra has such a nice, inviting demeanor. I may return to take advantage of other services they offer.

Finally decided to come out of braids after years. Yep, years and years and years. I was so excited because my hair had really gown. I had plan on letting it air out before COVID hit. I was never able to take care of my hair, so I had a friend who did hair lined up to help. COVID changed everything and I found myself without help and in trouble quick. Did not take long to realize that my hair had grown but it was damaged. Spent some time trying to find help but with no luck. I also was careful because of COVID and was not willing to risk going to any shops. So, I watched heartbroken as my hair continued to break. I may not be good with hair but excellent with head wraps, etc. so that is what I did. Fast forward. My situation got worst. Lost my length and my hair continued breaking like crazy. Things had gotten somewhat better via COVID and shops were reopening. I started looking for a salon but was really scared. I prayed hard and found Escape Salon. I read every single review. No lie. I kept coming back to Lisa. This is because I saw myself in several of the reviews. Stories about being embarrassed, losing hair and all that goes with self perception when this happens. Then one day, I saw a picture of a beautiful women who gave Lisa a high recommendation. No way, it could not be. Yep. Someone I know. Someone I admire and respect and whose hair always looks beautiful. That was my sign. I immediately contacted Lisa for an appointment. Thank God I did. When I spoke with Lisa on the phone, I confessed that I was embarrassed and how hard it was for me to make the call. I shared my protective hair plans and indicated I was looking for someone to help get my hair back on track. Lisa was very understanding and invited me to come in for a consultation. I was nervous but I went. As soon as I met Lisa I was put at ease. She was so welcoming. Also, the feel of the shop was very friendly and everyone was down to earth. I do not care for how I look with short hair. It was very hard for me to watch my length disappear when I was working with my hair. I knew my hair was damaged and would need to be cut. So, I was not surprised when Lisa shared that cutting was a part of the plan. I felt good about her entire plan, but I also felt good that Lisa gave me what I needed most that day. Hope that she could help me regain my hair health. She also did not make me feel bad about the condition of my hair. No judging, just a lot of precious support. Truth is, I would have walked out of the shop had I felt uncomfortable at any time. Walking away never crossed my mind because of the positive treatment I received. I had my first appointment and Lisa did her magic. I walked in looking like... well, we can skip what my hair looked like that day.... lol. When she was done with her magic my hair was the shiniest and healthiest looking I have seen it in years. Hard to believe it was my hair. Felt so soft. I thank God that he led me to Lisa. I am looking forward to continuing working with her. I am confident that my hair will grow back during my no braids (lol) protective style stage. While in the shop, I also met another stylist named Sandra. She welcomed me warmly while I was waiting to see Lisa. I tell you; these ladies are so friendly, as were the customers who were there. I know this is a long review. I hope it will help someone who may be struggling with hair issues like I was before I found Lisa. The reviews I read helped me so much, and I wanted to pay it forward.
