I had a non-working, wood burning fireplace from the 70's in Hollywood Hills that I needed to replace in order to get it up to current code. After trying 2 other places first, I was referred to them because they did full service, including masonry work. They replaced the whole firebox and chimney spout so now I can use it as a gas unit only without dirty logs and risk of embers. They removed and repaired the bricks to replace the on/off gas valve and key without charging me extra. Their customer service staff was able to move me up in the schedule when they got a cancellation and was very responsive to my questions. This is our third experience with Boston Brick. In 2017 we had a firebox replaced, the interior was fitted with a tube and bricks were added to the top to meet a legal height requirement. The ground around the chimney was dug up and replaced with a different type and tamped down with a machine and a portion of the adjacent walkway was cut away from the edge to allow for drainage during rain storms, The second experience occurred in 2022 when they installed a spark arrestor on my mother's house prior to its sale.
