I originally wanted to get a trim and tried this place out of the blue because I needed to get cleaned up for a wedding I had coming up. This place exceeded my expectations and provided great service. Their stylists have a keen eye for detail and the service is exceptional. I'm usually the type of person to have a short haircut and whatever I wake up and roll out of bed with that day, I'm rocking. Instead, Jay helped me out immensely and was so kind in helping me style my hair. He even gave me tips on how to style my hair for the next time I try on my own. It's kind of difficult to find a barber/hair salon out of the blue especially searching on yelp now a days. honestly pretty tough to pick between the hair stylists but i went with Fiona. she's very professional, attentive and seems like a sweet person. she also took the time to polish the cut and i was very satisfied with it esp for straight slightly thicker asian hair. there was 1 other customer the time i was in and this salon was clean, chill and had a very peaceful experience. sometimes i feel like people could over compensate / perform in the customer service aspect but the ambiance was serene and i was able to relax all the way through. i came from echo... read full review

Absolutely amazing. After moving to LA last year, I struggled to find a barbershop that I was happy with—some would overcharge me, and others would constantly ask questions. I happened to stumble across B SIDE U, and I’m so glad I did. Fiona is kind, humble, and talented, and the place is modern, clean, and full of great vibes. I've been there several times and won’t be going anywhere else. Highly recommend!
