Came back to Taxes by Maya for the second year in a row. Again, very quick and efficient. I was able to email Mariela my forms and she plugged everything in very quickly. Again appointment took about 15 minutes. True to my word, I recommended them to my partner who is a freelancer / W-2 employee. According to him they were ready to answer all of his questions about work vehicles, mileage, meal expenses, etc. (and he had plenty of questions!) and Mariela made the process absolutely painless. This was the most relaxed Ive seen him after doing his taxes. Guaranteed just going to keep them as my tax accountants going forward. I dont see a reason to change. The only thing I would caution is you'll need to come in with questions if it seems like you'll be covered by standard withholding.

This is a wonderful flower shop! I went today to order a corsage and a boutonniere for a daddy daughter dance that my daughter and husband were going to. I went and ordered and they were able to make the arrangements within 2 hours. It was all last minute, but the owner is so kind and sweet and really listens to my concerns. She is courteous and considerate too. I will absolutely return and I recommend this flower shop

I've been here multiple times cause I just spontaneously decide I need a haircut without appointment and someone is usually available here since they have many barbers. I have not been there once and left unsatisfied with my cut. Everyone there really knows their profession!
Leo has been my go to barber since 2018. I've never once received a bad haircut from him, which is why I've stuck with him. He always goes above and beyond, exceeding my expectations. His service is top quality. He is very precise and very accurate.
I brought my grandma for a mani and pedi and decided to get a pedi for myself as well. Lena and Nick are so sweet, professional, and efficient. The prices are super reasonable too! My grandma is super happy and wants to be coming every month now. So glad we found our new nail place :)
I really enjoyed the service here. It’s small but quaint and the ladies are very friendly. I got a a manicure and pedicure-both were comfortable and came out nice! Great color selection too. I was surprised reading ratings why such low rating if pictures of nails that looked good but I made my own experience and found out why:
The salon leads one basic English speaking lady. Her work is good. Rest of stuff (seems to be her relatives?) - non fluent English speakers that causing communication difficulties - that resulting in customers confusion and quality of work is unfortunately uneven.
The younger lady who replied the phone did first a nice manicure (see pictures).
She asked me what type of nails shape I want and suggested square. I asked her for round edges. It came out well.
With stickers it was an issue: I just wanted a tiny butterfly, she game me whole flower + butterfly. I asked her to cut the butterfly out, - it was not possible. I asked to sand/ paint the flower away. She said no.
For pedicure another older lady was doing my feet. Water was not warm enough, she fixed it. She did very sharp edges - I’ve asked her to round them - she didn’t understand. I didn’t see first. Then on the end when polish was already up - I had ugly feet with uneven cut nails and sharp edges.
I’ve asked her to fix it and spoke to this English speaking lady to translate it. As she was working on another customer. Very unpleasant. This older lady fixed it the way it was painful to me.
One good thing she did: when younger left to back room: older lady covered with one layer to tone down this bright red/green flower.
Positive:

+ she gave me with a sour face (-) a hand cream as present
Negative:
- language barrier
- the chair table was broken
- no chair massage available.
- I had to fix my pedicure at home.
- foreign language violent TV series was playing - I could not listen calmly my educational videos.
It cost me 80$ - I tipped 5$ - way to little - the service was way out of line of usual salons.
Customer experience - meh.
This salon needs another English speaking employee - manager that deals with customers and translates and deals with payments.
Day after I feel for this one younger lady that has to do all the work.

I have thick hair. Out of all hair dressers that I've been to, Gina is the only one I've met who is very patient and attentive with styling my hair. I once went to a highly rated hair stylist I found on yelp. I asked for layers, and he gave me what I would call a rock and roll mullet look. I ran to Gina that day, and asked her to fix my hair. She made a pixie cut look cute with my round face! ❤️

The two are really nice and really seem to know what they're doing. For both my sister and I it was $40, which is fairly reasonable! They make sure to ask what you're looking for and what type of thing you are going for, so photo references can help. I'd recommend having photos of as many angles as you can, but of course there's also room for improv!

I've noticed a few negative reviews online, but I want to set the record straight. Some of those reviews are not only unfair but also misleading. For example, the person with blue hair who left a bad review wasn't even a real client. I was there that day, and she brought her own low-quality extensions and ruined her hair by using blue shampoo improperly.
