Terrible communication. Did not give us any indication of when he needed documents and we had to initiate contact. He never contacted us once in the month and a half between when we made our appointment for a call and the day of the call. Last year was the first year we had him do our taxes and we started with a call and then sent him documents and he prepared our taxes without a follow-up call. We had no other instruction or communication from him so we had no idea that he was expecting a different process from last year. Right at the start of our scheduled call he was immediately rude and said "I don't know what this call is for because you sent your docs too late" but at no point during the month and a half did he contact us to say he need the docs by a certain date or we will need to reschedule our appointment. I have never worked with anyone so unprofessional and outright rude. Avoid.

I have a small business and every year around tax season I have gone through so much stress and dread... The bookkeeper and accountant I used to go to was very cold and indifferent. Fortunately for me, about 610years ago, my bookkeeper moved out of the area, and I had to find a new bookkeeper. Robert McMillan was highly recommended by a good friend so I went to see him. I am thrilled to report that working on books and taxes is no longer so stressful and agonizing. Robert is so knowledgable, honest and ethical but he is so relaxed, easygoing and most important, he is very caring and genuine. He has become more of a friend. I highly recommend Robert McMillan! Thank you so much Robert!!
