I really enjoyed my experience at Kims Salon (now at 174 University ave). I got my gel nails removed and she and Tammy took time and care doing it. Will be back! The salon is also lovely, with nice wood finishes and is very clean.

Note: Kim's Nails is now located inside of Vizavoo Salon on University Ave. Tammy and her crew were very accommodating to us as "out of towners" their small nail salon is located upstairs inside of Vizavoo salon now. She said they were new to the space (which was done up very nicely) and relocated there post pandemic after the financial struggles of being closed for so long. Tammy and her team were friendly and super nice to work with. Everything was sealed in sanitary bags which I really appreciated as well. I take two stars away for the following reasons: 1. They charged top dollar $$$ without a top dollar end result. My French tips are all uneven from one to the next & I had extra gel polish on my skin around some toes. My sister got acrylics & unfortunately one day later one of them had already fallen off (and no, she wasn't being rough with them.) she ended up going to another salon close to home to get it repaired. Tammy & her team were sweet and I enjoyed her new facility but attention to the small details of the end result go a long way. Tip: internet connection/service in the building is really rough. If you stop in I recommend you bring cash since they use internet based platforms (Venmo & others) for transactions. I have Verizon and couldn't get Venmo to load.

I received an in home gel manicure from Tammy. She was efficient, diligent and very sanitary. I could tell the tools she used were very clean (one of my fears with other salons). One thing that stood out about Tammy was her attention to detail and the way she cared about the integrity of my nails. In the past I would get gel nails from other salons and realized their technique was rushed which usually left my nails damaged. Tammy knows what she is doing and will provide you with excellent nail care and service. I definitely recommend!
