Unless you have very good insurance, you will have very little contact with a physical therapist. Instead, a PTA will assign you an exercise then go off and do the same to other patients then come back when you're finished & give you another one to do - rinse & repeat. I can do all these exercises at home so basically I'm just giving the PTA the work experience they need to complete their degree. In 4 visits I got an initial assessment by a PT + a few minutes massage of my bicep, at my 3rd visit I got 10 mins with a PT who manipulated my shoulder (which is the only thing at this point that will work to break up the post surgery scar tissue). This is the first visit I had made to this company. They are very small and when I was there only two therapists were assisting five people. I learned on my last visit that the gentleman I was seeing was leaving to take another contract and that I couldn't get an appointment for 2 weeks because they would not be a therapist on site. They are just one location that is part of a chain of physical therapy locations and my review is very moderate due to these problems and especially the fact that the gentleman that I saw for two visits was leaving and so it's like starting all over again and that's difficult especially when you're doing physical therapy.
Even though I was 15 min late for my appointment, the therapist was gracious enough to take me in and give me an excellent treatment for my knee which had me walking better by the time I left. L
