We have been taking our son here for a while and he loves it! The instructor Mark is great with kids and he makes learning karate a lot of fun. I would highly suggest Universal Martial Arts to anyone!

I was looking for self defense classes and cardio fitness when I found UMAC Palm Desert.This is something totally out of my scope, but with just 4 lessons down, I'm pleased with my find!Mark is knowledgeable and He's "all in" as an instructor. He is as interested in your progress as he is in his own of KRAV MAGA.Sessions are one hour long with lessons on defensive moves, safety, and perfecting your own practice. BAD ASS WORKOUTSI've done the Kickboxing Fitness a handful of times. I love it. It's EXACTLY what I want from a workout class. Pure intensity.The coaches are great. They remind me of my HS wrestling coach. No BS. No scripted, bubbly aerobics instructor pep talk. It feels like a put up or shut up vibe to me. One of the instructors will stone-faced ask why you stopped & command you to keep going. That's good stuff! If you want to be nurtured and have a instructor tell you, "just be okay with where you're at today," go to a Yoga class, which is also great.
