I went to Inland Empire Spine and Disc for spinal decompression. After less than three weeks of a three month treatment plan I was in worst pain than before. Pain everyday and difficulty walking. Plus cost me a fortune.
I have a copy of an ad in the Desert magazine that states "We now accept Medicare" We fell for the 2 Free laser treatments, exam & Consultation. We got to watch a video etc then I was told to wait in lobby while my husband got treatment. I asked the receptionist if this was covered by Medicare and she said I needed to talk to the doctor about that. Anyways I contacted Medicare and they do not cover this. Waste of time.
Dr Robert Krage, DC Interview I fell for the full-page ad in the Desert Sun last January 2019. Although I thought DCs should stick to spinal care, but here was a DC who seemed able to treat FOOT problems. I have had Morton's Neuromas for 8 years, treated with alcohol injections which reduced them somewhat, but they still bothered me. Dr. Krage's initial consultation is like a pep rally to motivate one to "qualify" for his treatment plan based on willingness to follow through with the plan and reap the huge benefits - much like a timeshare presentation. He also videos your walking on a treadmill and tells you that you are doing it wrong and that is why you have 'hammer toes', which sounded dubious to me. Still, I wanted to believe that he could help my discomfort so I continued. One of the tests he performed was to dig his thumb into the bottom of my heel until I yelled in pain. That, he said, was "plantar fasciitis". Really?? That was the ONLY time I ever had pain in my heel!! The 2nd consultation requires the spouse or significant other to attend, presumably to acknowledge joint willingness to pay the high cash fee up front without dissent. The contract he presents starts at over $15,000 but - of course - he mentions "discounts" (for no apparent reason) which brings it down to $7,000. When $15,000 would be an "absolutely not!" answer, agreeing to $7,000 is not quite so bitter to swallow - with a big dose of hope! Treatments: All treatments, whether laser for feet or backs, or stretching for those with spinal problems - are done by the hardworking, organized and caring 2 office attendants at a satellite office on Fred Waring in Palm Desert. (His main office is in Corona.) For me these included lasers directed to the soles of my feet and strong percussion treatments before or after, 3 times per week for 32 sessions. Dr Krage did just a few foot percussion treatments and took molds for the expensive, high quality orthotics that were made to order. Otherwise I rarely saw him other than to say 'hello'. When the 1st set of orthotics arrived I tried to use them in my shoes for the 2 hour periods, but could not sustain the daily schedule due to the discomfort. I never got to the 4 hour or 6 hour daily sessions, and never picked up my 2nd custom set of orthotics -- which were supposed to be even more severe in pushing up my metatarsal arches. Results: I can't attest to how laser treatments may or may not have helped the other patients in this office, most of whom received the treatments on their lumbar backs, but for my Morton's Neuromas, I found NO benefit whatsoever. I regret ever being so optimistic that Dr Krage's full-page splashy ad convinced me that an amazing new treatment would do more for the painful lumps in the balls of my feet than my podiatrist could do. If I had researched Yelp.com sooner, and searched for his San Diego connection to a similar treatment claim in another Krage office in previous years. I would have run the other way. Even recently in the Coachella Valley, Dr Krage was fined for "False Advertising" in 2014. At $7000 per patient, a $300 fine is easy to pay! Dr Krage does not take any insurance as payments -- most likely, because his treatments are not approved by any medical or government authority. I completely wasted $7000, plus a lot of time. Also, Robert Krage DC may be related to John Krage DC of San Diego since Robert is linked to a San Diego chiropractic office years ago on the internet. The following is noteworthy from the California Board of Chiropractors webpage of professional violations. Krage, John-San Diego DC 14672 12/30/2013 Gross negligence; repeated negligence acts; false advertising; excessive treatment; dishonesty; use of laser for purposes other than those approved by the US food and drug administration (fda) And decades ago there was another John Krage in San Diego with the same ads and the same "Happy Feet" logo. That DC is retired or deceased but is probably the father with
