Dr. Kim is a wonderful vet to work with as we just got a new puppy 4 weeks ago. She consults and educates is on all we need to know and her staff is wonderful. It's reassuring to work with her because she cares about our pup and shows she loves him too!

This Very Positive "straight from the heart" review that follows for Cottage Veterinary Care derives from the experience of having 2 beloved sibling Shih-Tzu angels- Mia & Chester, in our lives and under the Care of this clinic which is owned by Dr. Kimberly Wilkins. Having moved in 2015 from New England to the Monterey Peninsula and during our search, we were immediately drawn to the physical exterior/interior aspect of this clinic, whereas it does not resemble the traditional animal hospital but as a small Victorian era style home. And as the word- Home is being used, that is exactly how it felt when we walked in every time. Through the 4 years of checkups and any medically related issues for Mia & Chester, the utmost attention to details was pursued by the owner and her incredible very kindhearted staff. As a team they work very hard and are diligent to try to assist not only each other, but both the animal patient and their pet parents. During our visits, and speaking of Dr. Wilkins to Laurie (the manager), the support techs, and to the front desk; the one consistent word to describe the complete staff is CARING. All businesses must obtain profits to survive but when the opportunity arises, Dr. Wilkins goes as far to even try to have a pet parent save money regarding the purchase of a specific med, possibly online, if the clinic does not have that particular med in stock, which reveals in itself, Dr. Wilkins true concern for her animal patients. So what should this tell any pet parent....that the sole purposeful belief that originates from Dr. Wilkins and her staff is to be present in that clinic not just for financial gain as if to see how many animals can come through their front door with the financial figures rising, but for the sole purpose of their professional abilities to apply just for the animal patient and as the words in the Veterinary Oath indicate for which Dr. Wilkins had sworn to along with any assisting fellow Veterinarians in her clinic. Just recently and in our home, we very sadly had to let go of our beloved 16 year 4 month old Chester with Mia departing our physical lives almost 3 years earlier. Because of our deepest admiration for Dr. Wilkins, we did not wish for Chester to depart from our lives in front of her as to visibly extend any sorrowful pain we were feeling and then onto Dr. Wilkins, but to try to have Dr. Wilkins remember Chester the way he was during his visits to her clinic, with the wonderful motherly loving attention she gave to him which periodically was rewarded with Chester's known sudden and special glance he gave back to Dr. Wilkins, as if he knew full well who was looking after him during any visit. For any pet parent who truly wishes for the best medical care to be presented for their special animal family member, the choice should advisedly be, to go to this- "Home".

Dr. Kimberly Wilkins and her team of superb vet techs continues to provide our pets with the highest level of preventative and acute health care that I have ever experienced in a general veterinary practice. Dr. Wilkins' deep affection and concern for animals is evident in every interaction she has had with the various members of our menagerie. She is a wonderful teacher and explains the rationale behind decisions. She cares greatly, as do we, about our animals' quality of life, and has helped us improve their diet and exercise to that end. Both my husband and I have nothing but praise for Dr. Wilkins and her capable and warm team.
