“We've been at EBP since we moved to the east bay from the city 13 years ago and have had a great experience there. Started with Dr. Charles-Mo and loved her. Since she retired, we've been with Dr. Handelsman, who has been awesome. All the doctors we've seen have been nice, attentive, and responsive to medical needs, even to more urgent ones.“

“Today was my first visit with Dr. Morando at Pleasant Hill location. Before I was a patient of Dr. Stephen Weinstein, who recently retired. Therefore I was referred to that office to continue my care. I was hard to get an appointment due to volume of patience, and I was considering finding new OBGYN. I am very glad that I was patient and waited to see Dr. Morando. She is very personable, caring, professional and have an excellent bed side manners. I felt comfortable with her right away, which is not easy considering type of care she is providing! Office was clean and tidy. Wait time was no more than 10 minutes. Her medical staff was also friendly and caring!“

I appreciate how she takes the time to really investigate and understand what is going on with you and determine the best treatment. I've been seeing her to treat persistent frozen shoulder and have gotten significant improvement.“

“Dr. Ariel has magic in her hands! I started seeing Dr. Ariel in 2020 in the height of the pandemic while pregnant with our first ivf miracle baby. She took care of me throughout pregnancy, during which I’d walk into her office with all kinds of pain from my growing belly and my significant scoliosis and walk out literally free of pain with so much more mobility. I’ve gone to many other chiropractors over the years and there is NO ONE else like Dr. Ariel. She helped me prepare for birth and get baby in the optimal position. Most recently I’ve been seeing her after a late pregnancy loss and her work has been so healing physically but also emotionally. A few weeks ago my son woke up with raging ear pain and was screaming from pain all day until we walked into Dr. Ariel’s office. I left with a happy child free of ear pain and we even avoided antibiotics directly because of Dr. Ariel’s adjustments. She can really do it all. What a gift to be cared for and supported by her!!!“

“In a thirty-five year period I was misdiagnosed as having chronic urinary tract infections and I was administered frequent antibiotics. In that period of time I saw over 10 Physicians including 6 Urologists during which time I had unmeasurable suffering. Luckily, in 2006 I was referred to Dr. Eugene Kaplan in Walnut Creek, CA. My referring Gynecology/Oncologist said to me that Dr. Kaplan was like a 'Medical Detective' who diagnosed conditions that other MD's could not find. I was told that many MD's including UroGynecologists send their patients to Dr. Kaplan for this very reason. On my initial visit, Dr. Kaplan listened very intently to me and told me of his suspicion that I had a condition called Interstitial Cystitis. To further explain IC he drew a picture of the condition so that I could understand what was happening in my body. He subsequently performed an outpatient procedure which confirmed his diagnosis. Dr. Kaplan started me on a treatment plan that has completely changed my life for the better. I finally started living a full life again. I have never recommended a medical professional, however, Dr. Eugene Kaplan is such an excellent diagnostician with regard to Interstitial Cystitis that anyone with bladder issues should have the opportunity to meet with him. Dr. Kaplan should be recognized for his ability to diagnose and treat this disabling condition. Dr. Kaplan is not only compassionate but he is a true healer and a personal hero of mine.“

I could not be happier with the care they receive from Berkeley Pediatrics. Every staff member is an extremely competent, huge hearted person that goes above and beyond for their patients. Special shoutout to Dr. AnneMarie Franks, whose gentle humor and wealth of knowledge make her nothing short of a hero in my eyes. Every time one of my kids are sick, they are seen right away and shown a ton of compassion. I'm sure I come off as cold or rude at times due to my fears, and my family still receives nothing but respect and empathy in return. I am extremely grateful to have found them. “I honestly cannot understand the bad reviews of this office. We are first time parents and both the office staff and the doctors have been incredible. Dr. Gerwein is our son's primary but we were also seen by Dr. Brinkley when she was rounding at the hospital. Both doctors are incredibly knowledgeable and responsive to even the slightest concern. We have never had any trouble getting an appt., even a couple last minute ones, and, to top it all off, their office has an INCREDIBLE lactation consultant, Amrit Khalsa (48 years of experience, including as a midwife) and they moved heaven and earth to make sure we were seen by her when we were struggling with breastfeeding. And she is covered by our insurance with only a $37 copay! Kudos to this practice for providing access to 360 degree, holistic care (they are only 1 of 3 practices in all of the East Bay that employ a lactation consultant). We feel so lucky we found this team!“

“DR. CELESTE ALLEN is God's Angel! Truly & honestly. My kids have been seeing Dr. Allen for over 10+ years. She is attentive, caring, and truly an amazing person. They started seeing Dr. Allen when we lived in Oakland. We moved to Hercules & then Pittsburg and I still drive 30-45 minutes so they can see her. She is that good. My oldest daughter is now 23 and still sees Dr. Allen. She dreads turning 25 because she will not be able to continue as her patient. I have been holding off on writing this review because I really didn't want to share Dr. Allen but I'm realizing that others need her as well. DR. CELESTE ALLEN IS THE BEST!“

We like that she integrates well studied, new research findings into her advice. The support staff is kind, excellent and efficient.
