I passed by Plaza Barber Shop accidentally. The old fashion interior caught my attention. Clay, a smiling man was standing in front of the shop. He said this shop has been around for 50+ years. He was 80+, worked 4 days a week, enjoyed being a musician. What a positive attitude! I said I would like to see him standing there 10 years from now. Please stop by the shop, have a hair cut, and keep this young man busy.

While out poking around the shops downtown I passed by Plaza Barber Shop. It caught my eye because it is a real old style barbershop. The walls were filled with memorabilia and ageless photos. Everything in the shop looked very old but beautifully maintained. It seemed like an opportunity to enjoy an experience along with a great cut. Since my friend needed a haircut I quickly suggested that we stop in. The barber was 80 years old and filled with laughter and wonderful stories. A haircut and beard trim was $40 and it took about 45 minutes....Mostly because we were having a nice visit.

As I was passing by, I noticed this barber shop was open for business. It was 10 am. I poked my head in and asked if I needed an appointment for a cut. Clay (the barber) said come back at 11 am and I'll cut your hair. When I returned, Clay was ready for me. Haircut and mustache trim was $25. Clay even trimmed my eyebrows (as every good barber should). I was done and out by 11:20 am. I'm very happy with the result. Great conversation. Very friendly. I highly recommend this barber shop.
