I was in the construction business for 30 years and my final project, as Project Manager, was to rebuild BIG CANYON Country Club on Fashion Island in Newport Beach in 2008. And due to housing melt down the company I was with decided to fold after that project was done. It took me almost 2-1/2 years to start Mr. Fix It O.C. in March of 2011 because no one wanted to hire me cause I was over 50 and making way to much. However I was always good at fixing things and decide then to start my own business. Of course it started slow but soon I had several repeat customers and referrals. Of course word spread and the ability that I had blossomed. I now don't have to ask for vacation time and man my time accordingly for my customers.
