I found Pilates after a series of serious injuries that were probably due to postural weakness (later discovered due to 3 spine fractures and hip impingement) One injury kept me from walking for over 5 months.... I have done the IronMan, ran numerous marathons, ran a number of ultras, ran a sub 5 minute mile (many moons ago), played some college football....but I never realized how weak some of my muscles in the "core" actually were. Kristine has helped me realize how important total body strength actually is.....her classes are not a one size fits all as she pays particular attention to the individual needs of each student. I cannot say enough good things about Pilates and about Kris. She's an amazing teacher, so knowledgeable and caring. She knows my body (and the other student's as well), better than I know it myself. She listens and watches and teaches us how to correct our postures, how to breathe, how to connect with our core and keep our backs strong no matter what kind of work we do.
