My Amazon earlier this year suddenly began falling from its perch and would bite onto the sides of the cage to keep itself from falling over and over again.
Took him/her and essentially found out that the bird was sick, liver shrinking, and dying due to its only seed diet that it had been fed prior to me taking over.
Dr. Nemetz did all tests necessary just to rule out other causes and did an excellent job, imho. I left with a ton of knowledge, medication and it felt like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders.

I had an African Grey baby with severe calcium deficiency. I took her to our Las Vegas supposed avian specialist and he amputed her toes. She was still declining. I heard about Dr. N and hopped on a plane and headed to his office at his first available appt. He kept our baby for over a month with no guarantees. He put her back in an incubator and gave her necessary injections and calcium treatments. He saved our baby.

i am so thankful to Dr. Nemetz for saving my Meyers parrot. It brings a smile to my face every time I see my bird who has recovered from his health issues, he looks amazing , is full of energy and his voice is strong. The blood work, X-rays and health checks that were part of the process to determine his health issues were worth every penny. Dr. Nemetz is straight forward with his diagnosis and was clear in what I needed to do to save my bird. I appreciate that. I highly recommend him. The staff is very helpful. If you want the best treatment for your bird this is the place.
