I had a great experience with Marquez Iron Works from start to finish. They completed 3 projects for us: a double iron gate, decorative iron fence repair and a custom gate. Jose came out to our house and was respectful and responsive to all of our questions. He was overly patient as we went back and forth on our gate specifications as we had too many people living at our home with differing opinions on styling, color and features. He had great suggestions to make our project a success and created multiple estimates for the same project so that we could choose the best option for us. Marquez iron work and Gates in Orange County certainly makes a name for themselves with their custom ironwork. They have to make sure that their quality control and installation process is better. Their specialization in designing and crafting quality iron fences, gates, railings, and more is evident in the final product. The price quoted for my five gates was reasonable, reflecting their competitive market positioning. However, my experience with the installation process was somewhat mixed. I requested a quote from Jose in June 202O. He arrived promptly and gave me a thorough estimate and had photos of samples saying it was 4 to 6 weeks for delivery and installation. Four weeks later Eva called me to schedule installation. David arrived 8:30 in the morning and took one hour to install the gates. The gates needed to be self closing for inspection by the city for pool regulations. The day before the inspection the gates were not self closing when the wind was blowing and it would not pass inspection the next day. I texted David 7 PM and at 8:30 AM the next morning had Ralph and Raul out here to repair the spring one hour before the inspector arrived. Everything... read full review
