I had a great experience with Marquez Iron Works from start to finish. They completed 3 projects for us: a double iron gate, decorative iron fence repair and a custom gate. Jose came out to our house and was respectful and responsive to all of our questions. He was overly patient as we went back and forth on our gate specifications as we had too many people living at our home with differing opinions on styling, color and features. He had great suggestions to make our project a success and created multiple estimates for the same project so that we could choose the best option for us. They were able to repair an old rusted out decorative piece of fencing which most companies wouldn't touch. And for one of the gates, I wanted to build the connecting fence myself and Jose spent the time to give advice on how best to do that and even built the gate to match the fence I was going to build. I have never built a fence before but I have always wanted to learn and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to practice so that I can better care for my home and the animals that live here and I appreciated the patience and understanding shown to me by Jose and the installers on this front. Once the pieces were fabricated, they were able to come out for the install the next day. The installation crew were also very patient and respectful. They showed up early and reconfirmed with me the various projects to ensure there were no mistakes. They even did extra work on the decorative fence that wasn't in the estimate just to make sure it was safe and looked perfect. They helped me finish digging the hole for my fence and helped set the first post and answered my fence building questions and gave excellent advice. All three projects are beautiful and installed correctly. We previously had vinyl fence contractors out to give us an estimate for similar gate and fencing and not only was it more expensive than what Marquez offered, they wouldn't touch fencing that they hadn't installed, we're unable to fill custom orders and overall gave a much poorer impression. I highly recommend Marquez Iron Works for gate and fencing needs and will be reaching out to them for any future projects.

Marquez iron work and Gates in Orange County certainly makes a name for themselves with their custom ironwork. They have to make sure that their quality control and installation process is better. Their specialization in designing and crafting quality iron fences, gates, railings, and more is evident in the final product. The price quoted for my five gates was reasonable, reflecting their competitive market positioning. However, my experience with the installation process was somewhat mixed. During the initial installation, there were a couple of issues. Despite clear instructions to cover all existing holes to avoid stucco repair, an extra hole was left. Another gate would have resulted in a significant hole in the stucco, necessitating a complete redo of the gate. This meant rescheduling another installation day. A more concerning issue was the significant scratches on all the newly installed gates. When questioned, I was told that the gates had been sitting in their yard for some time before installation. This lack of quality control was disappointing, leading to all gates being uninstalled, repowder coated, and reinstalled. However, Marquez Gates' response to these issues was commendable. The team was responsive and friendly, demonstrating a keen willingness to rectify the problems. The second installer ensured the quality of the install was perfect, highlighting the company's commitment to customer satisfaction. Despite the initial hiccups, the final set of gates look fantastic. However, the journey to get there was more convoluted than it should have been. In conclusion, while the end product from Marquez Gates is of high quality, there appears to be room for improvement in their quality control and installation processes.

I requested a quote from Jose in June 202O. He arrived promptly and gave me a thorough estimate and had photos of samples saying it was 4 to 6 weeks for delivery and installation. Four weeks later Eva called me to schedule installation. David arrived 8:30 in the morning and took one hour to install the gates. The gates needed to be self closing for inspection by the city for pool regulations. The day before the inspection the gates were not self closing when the wind was blowing and it would not pass inspection the next day. I texted David 7 PM and at 8:30 AM the next morning had Ralph and Raul out here to repair the spring one hour before the inspector arrived. Everything worked out perfect and we're very happy with the gate. The customer service was perfect for me thanks again for your good and hard work ! Don H.
