“I booked the elopement package for my summer 2024 wedding in Sonoma County. Kirsten quickly responded to my inquiry and got on a phone call with me to help me decide on services and advice on when to book. In that initial conversation, I knew that she was personable, kind, honest, and looked out for her team, all things I valued. I knew then I would go with Devotion Studio. I opted for the elopement package because I didn’t have a bridal party. Despite not having a formal bridal party, Kirsten and Addy made me feel like a total queen. I note this because I was initially anxious about our wedding in booking vendors (e.g., ‘would they think less of me because I’m not having my wedding at a vineyard/don’t have a bridal party/etc’), and those worries never crossed my mind when working with Kirsten and Addy. I had already booked a makeup preview and closer to my wedding date, I asked if there was space to have a hair preview too. Kirsten and Addy were able to make it work and I was able to have both a hair and makeup preview. My preview was two days prior to the wedding because my partner and I traveled to his hometown to get married. The day before my preview I added a ‘plan b hair option’ to my inspiration photos in case my hair wasn’t long enough to do what I wanted. When I met Addy, she said, “Let’s try plan A first. There are lots of ways to make this work.” And she did! When I saw my hair and makeup at my preview, I said “I can’t believe I look like this!” Not that I didn’t look like me, but I felt like Addy made me look the best version of me. She truly nailed the sophisticated yet whimsical and not stuffy vibe I wanted. Throughout the preview, she would check in with me to see what I liked/didn’t. Addy was a true gem to work with. She was professional and kind, and unbelievably patient wedding day (our wedding was less structured than most). My hair and make up lasted all day and past the after party! I have zero regrets booking with Devotion Studio and feel like I got everything I wanted and more. Highly recommend them for on-site beauty squad! “I think Kelly might have given me the best haircut I have ever had (and I am 60!). I love the layers! The style is natural, and works with my wavy/straight hair. Flattering, soft, and she listened to what I wanted so that I can continue to pull hair back while working out, but also gave me some style. I 100% recommend Kelly Rae. I will most definitely return! “Highly recommended health/beauty shop if you are ever in the Russian River area. I found this magnificent shop for the purpose of getting waxing services done. I liked the wax Heidi used opposed of some places where the wax is scolding hot and is a bit unpleasant. No burn around the eyebrows and underarms. This matters since nothing worse than burnt waxed skin in the sun. The next day, Heidi accommodated me by showing up early to give me a facial, which was one of the best I’ve had, total bliss and my skin feels absolutely divine. She took her time and was very detailed. I’m from the East Coast and if I’m ever out this way, I will be definitely be returning. Thanks Heidi.“

“I am actually a self employed colorist at a different salon. And I'm not a client here. But Windsor is far from where I work so I felt like writing this review. I bumped into someone who had absolutely stunning hair. It was pure perfection. I had to compliment her and she gets her hair done here. I think the stylists name begins with an S? She's Latino and with their hair type hard to get the perfect shade of blonde. It was STUNNING!!! With the way this economy is, it's important for businesses to support each other. And the colorist she had knocked it out of the ball park!! Way to go!!!“

“Fantastic pedicure at a fair price. The salon was clean, comfortable, the massage chairs were in working condition, and there was a good selection of nail colors. I was the only person in the salon on a rainy Thursday morning but I had a great time with the two owners. They both were fun to talk with and were incredibly nice.“

“My first time at Diva over the weekend. I made an appt the day before over the phone with Rusty. I arrived early and waited til my appt. The salon is spacious and I was offered drinks. I just wanted a simple trim, cut 2 inches and a bang trim. Easy enough I think! Rusty was very nice, personable and kept the conversation flowing the whole 40 mins. She cut and trimmed and even flat ironed my hair (I have a lot of hair and can be puffy!). Overall, I left feeling lighter and more put together! Go see Rusty!“

“I tried D’ Best Nail Spa after having
negative experiences with two nail places in Sebastopol and am so happy I did! I finally found a place that knows how to pamper! D’ Best was recommended to me after I had mentioned how rudely I was treated at the place on Main St. (rhyming with “fella”). The guy got visibly irritated when I didn't put my hand in the dryer while he did my other hand. Oops! I was surprised that this place was a bummer because I had already had a bad experience at the place by Luckys, who rushed me out when their friends came in. Neither of these other places were looking for a new regular customer. And to be fair, the actual pedicures and manicure I got weren't bad.

In comparison though, D’ Best was by far the best! Excellent basic pedicure. I didn't get any of their upgrades but I’d like to get the paraffin wax next time. They do great nails based on the acrylic nails and gel toes I saw while there and I love min! But… the highlight was the woman who helped me was nice to me! Bonus! It’s hard to feel good about treating yourself to some extra self care when your esthetician is annoyed with you and basically acting like they’s rather be anywhere else. Which I can understand and sympathize but as a customer, I shouldn't have to pay to feel their pain.
