we moved in to these apartments in the middle of October. this was both mine and my boyfriends first time moving where we would not be living with family or friends so we honestly did not know much. I came to this building on whim after checking another apartment nearby but not loving what they offered for the price. Erika, was extremely welcoming and helped me find an apartment well within our budget. The only problem was i couldn't see the exact unit as it wasn't available yet. Erika still took her time showing me multiple other apartments in the building so i could get a sense of our potential unit could look like. Deciding i couldn't pass up on the deal she had found we decided to apply and got approved. As i said this was our first time going through this process. Which led to many many questions on our part that Erika always happily answered in a timely matter. She really made our move in process so much less stressful than it could've been. We've been here for a few months now and are extremely happy. It's a very chill place, everyone we've come into contact with is super friendly and they even have small community events happen (most recent was a holiday market with local vendors) which is adorable. As a woman i feel safe here and love that they offer parking within the gated buildings so if you come home late at night you don't have to worry. It has also made my commute to sf for work a breeze. Highly recommend checking this place out and speaking to one of the leasing agents to see if it could be good fit for your needs.
I love living here. I work in the city and the building is very close to the freeway and just a hop skip and a jump from anything you need from restaurants, shopping, movies, and more. My rent is super affordable given Oakland's rent prices and the community has a lot of great spaces and the unit I live in is very spacious. We love the modern finishes. Management has had changes but I always feel heard and maintenance issues are resolved quickly.
I lived here for a year and am happy that we are no longer here. Pros: - Street parking available - Close to SF, Berkeley, and Oakland - Public transit nearby - Maintenance is good when you are able to get ahold of them (super nice in my experience) Cons: - Crazy utility charges (an absurd amount for trash) - Packages have gotten stolen on multiple occasions and nothing was done about it - Management has changed multiple times over the 1 year that I was there and hard to reach if there was one - Walls and flooring are super thin - Front gate door constantly broken so is open constantly - No security - Price point for what it is - Amenities were not able to be used for a long period of time and then only became available during normal business hours - Constantly dirty in the elevator and hallways - Dog poop all around the outside of the property
