“If you're like me and you're not a very fancy person and you just want a standard good massage to loosen up muscle stiffness, and speed up injury healing this is the place to go. I wish I got the name of the woman who was my masseuse but she was super sweet and very accommodating, and she listened to everything that I asked her to do and pay attention to. She's very thorough, won't miss any major muscle groups, and she uses very mild products that don't irritate your skin. It was such a good experience and I woke up the next day, not as sore as I had come in with my elbow injury. Great prices, clean facility, great location. I will definitely be back on a semi regular basis.“

“I found Tessa Allen to be an excellent esthetician at Vetiver Salon in Oakland. I have thoroughly enjoyed multiple facials with her and left feeling invigorated each time. My skin felt smooth and was glowing for days after each session. Tessa uses amazing natural based products which I liked so much that I now use them at home. She is highly educated in the field and I appreciated the excellent massage that was a part of my facial. I also brought my Mother in for a facial and we both enjoyed the experience! Many estheticians are very rushed in how they touch your face but not Teejay. I really appreciated how well and gently she threaded my eyebrows too, this was my first time trying it and the results were fab, I'll definite return to her for that service especially. Lastly, the place is serene and clean, nice dim ambient lighting and delicious cold peach tea to boot. Thanks Cocoon. That was a treat.“

Kaitlin is deeply knowledgeable about the body, its muscles, its aches, and every time I visit her (it’s been four times now!?), I leave without pain, only feeling great. She’s also a kind soul, a good listener if you need one, and makes the experience feel holistic. She’s helped pinpoint an issue I had with one of my muscles, which helped me seek and work better with a physical therapist… Truly, couldn’t recommend her more.“

“I have been looking for a good threading place since moving to Oakland from San Francisco, and finally, I have found it! Rowena, was amazing. She took the time to actually look at the shape of my face to find what eyebrow shape she would give me, it was pain-free, And quick. Also, it was only $18, which is pretty cheap for eyebrow the rating in my opinion. Also, if you go Tuesday through Friday between 10 AM and 2 PM, there is the eyebrow and lip threading special for $25 total. Another thing I love about them is that they do the punchcard. So at your 11th eyebrow threading, you get it free. Great location and even open on Sundays 1030 to 4 PM. They definitely have a new customer in me.“

“I love Marina at Simply Gorgeous Day Spa! She is so warm and friendly and very client-focused. I’ve bought colonic and wax packages with her, and I couldn’t be happier. They’re very affordable and it’s easy to schedule with her. She’s very accommodating schedule-wise, I usually opt for an evening appointment. The colonic room is clean, always smells great, and it’s nice and warm in there which is great as the machine uses cool water. I always run cold, but the cool water doesn’t bother me probably because the room is nice and warm, and there’s a great heating pad I love using. If I don’t use the heating pad I can do red light therapy, which is great. It’s also very easy to park close by.“
