The shop is very cute and everyone was very nice and accommodating. Amy was my massage therapist and she was amazing! Very relaxing and I was ready to go to sleep after haha. Will come back soon!
Today I needed to get some stress out my body, so I went for a 60 minute deep tissue massage. I have been here before, I had a therapist here I use to love... her name was Rain, however she is not there anymore. At check in this sweetie pie, name Almo helped me with my reservation... she is so sweet and way to talk to, she was very accommodating and knew exactly what I wanted!!! Shoutout to her, because she is the first point of contact, and idk about yall but if first point of contact stirs me wrong, I am out the door. But she is EXCELLENT!!! But tonight I had a male therapist, which was my first time and he was EVERYTHING and more. His name is Paul, he is very very attentive to your needs, you can tell he's very experienced and he is not rough at all and takes his time so he doesn't come off as rough. He felt tension in my back area, and he was not stopping until he can break it up. He did an excellent job. He gave me a very very peaceful massage. I also had hot stones with my massage, please get them!!!! * and I have two CBD GUMMIES they offer at check in, watermelon and blackberry / they are both great!!! It helps relaxes your body while getting a massage or to get there early enough to take it and it kicks in before your massage. They are very clean, and very very professional. Parking is street parking, and I'm always afraid to park downtown Oakland... but leave your windows down lol... Book with them!!!!
Like everyone else, I redeemed a 60 minute coupon. Went in early as I found parking a block away. The location itself is hidden on the streets near Lake Merritt, a couple minutes away. When I first walked in, the lovely receptionist welcomed me with a warm smile. I told her I was early and she gave me a form to fill out where I addressed areas of problems on my body that require attention (neck, shoulders, back) and that I like medium pressure. She offered me water or hot tea, which I happily obliged :) Went to the bathroom located in the back and when I walked out onto the hallway, my massage therapist greeted me and escorted me into a room. I was glad we got to start early. I believe my massage therapist's name was Wendy. When we first started, she had me face down. She started with compression on my back with great pressure and then kept the pressure throughout the session. I wasn't expecting her to do my full body as I know it was only an hour long and expected just my problem areas to be addressed but she made it work! Wanted to speak up and let my MT know that she didn't have to do hard pressure through out, maybe keep it light on some areas but it was my fault for not speaking up. We finished in an hour and Wendy offered me tea/water. Overall, super sweet experience as a first timer here. The price of the Groupon deal wasn't bad so I didn't mind paying the $5 service fee and naturally felt inclined to tip. Massage therapists work hard with their hands, so I completely understand and respect the work and hustle. Will come back again soon :)
