I book myself an appointment 1.5-3 months for regular maintenance (I'm moderately athletic). Johnny applies an expert combo of myfascial release, deep tissue, and other modalities to really target whatever is most impacted during each visit. He clearly knows a LOT about anatomy and I love that he explains why he plans to do what he does and how different parts of the body are connected. He also recommends daily/weekly stretches and release exercises I can do at home. Unlike other body work I've had in the past, this actually makes a positive and lasting difference in how I move and feel afterword! I've also recommended KaMasaJei to multiple friends, all of whom have reported back with glowing reviews. Run, don't walk, to KaMasaJei and get your body right.
Johnny is absolutely the best. This is a much belated review, but years ago, under a great deal of work stress, I developed knots in my right shoulder, burning sinuses, and my arms were going numb. I was chronically relying on ibuprofen and Sudafed to be comfortable so I could work long hours. I thought the knots in my shoulder were permanent as they had been there for two years already when I first met Johnny. Unbelievably, he was able to work them out over a number of sessions and I stopped needing the medications. I can't recommend him highly enough!
I've gone here twice, both times with Johnny. Once because of back spasms so bad I was having trouble walking. And once because of a strained hamstring that took forever to heal. Johnny was great. He really worked the muscles slowly and intensely, and it had an immediate positive impact. He had a good sense for how the muscles are interconnected, and had good input for how to avoid injuries in general. This is not a "feel good with some oil and Enya at the spa" kind of massage. This is intense, focused sports massage. You will be a bit sore the next day. But if you are aging casual athlete like me, this kind of massage can really help you stay on the field/the trail/wherever you want to be. Stretching is good, but it's not enough.
