“You had me at great cut….
This review has gone unwritten for far too long…. I’ll say this though, almost 2 months later and this style has grown out in the most fantastic way, I still love it!
Not only did Universe provide an amazing and lasting cut, the entire experience was outstanding! We felt welcomed, acknowledged, and really taken care of.
I asked for a shag; my hair was not quite long enough to achieve the absolute desired style but the shape has held strong and the next cut promises to be the shag of my dreams!!
My wife also received a cut, she has long, curly hair- I honestly don’t think that I’ve seen a more flattering cut on her, she loves it!!
One final and important thing to mention- we will be forever grateful to Universe for showing us a kindness during a very difficult time (which is partially the reason why it has taken me so long to get around to writing this). Our beautiful elder dog was quite sick at the time of the appointment so we asked if we could bring her with us; there was no hesitation on their part in graciously welcoming our pup to the shop, it meant the world to us, and the icing is that our 16 year old dog is doing really well!“

“I was referred to Vee by my bestfriend Machelle. I showed Vee some pictures , I wanted to perm my hair. I came in but my hair was unfortunately too short and she told me to come back when it gets a bit longer. Which at that point she wanted to make sure it came out to how I wanted it. Not a quick money grab just to do it. I came back about 2 months later and man she made my dreams come true , my hair looks sooo good. Exceeded my expectations! Very honest very professional!! “Mia is the BEST! Skilled & experienced with an artistic eye as well as professional and warm. I'm so happy I found her. I met Mia at her cute Oakland space for a consultation, and from the get, I felt her confidence and experience come through. She was easy to talk to and was able to hold my vision while offering her professional advice. I've thick black/brown Asian hair that's peppered with some gray and not interested in a demarcation or High maintenance root touch ups so Mia did a beautiful job giving me some balayage pieces and made everything a cool navy blue which will blend nicely with my silver hair as it fades out. Now I've a base that I can switch up and be creative with as things grow out. It's always such a blessing when you find someone you can put your trust in and just sit back and feel taken care of!“

“Diane is incredibly talented with hair. I came with a messy bun, and no maintenance for my curly hair and trusted her with her direction. I left with a perfect haircut, great conversation, and an easy hair routine with suggested products and techniques. I have since washed my hair for the first time since Diane styled it (which is the true testament to a haircut) and it still has great volume, dimensions, framing and layers. “Went to Tresca for the first time several months ago and it was a good experience. She was able to replicate the image I showed her of reference pictures with a little adjustment based on what we thought would look best. Got a short shaggy cut that would grow out into a mullet with shaved sides. The haircut made me feel very confident and it is now a go-to haircut of mine. I was nervous paying with cash so I calculated the tip wrong in my head so I tipped too little and I felt bad :( I did not realize until afterwards.“

Plenty of parking. Nice and friendly. I’ve tried a few salons for curly hair in Oakland and this is is the best. They don’t make you fee like your hair is hard or troublesome requiring a $$$ cut.
