My wife and I were visiting from Wisconsin when I accidentally stepped on my glasses in our hotel room, and severely bent the bows at the attachment point on the frame. We walked from our hotel in Jack London Square to the optical shop, and asked the kind proprietor if she could possibly reattach the bows and straighten the metal hinges. She was able to do this quickly, thankfully saving my vacation time in Oakland from a disappointing and blurry time. To top it off, she wouldn't accept any fee for this repair! What a blessing!

I have been going to Christine for frames for over 16 years! She is amazing! She knows exactly what will and will not work for me. She always politely steers me towards the perfect pair(s). She is super knowledgeable about frames and which frames best compliment people. She also has an amazing memory when it comes to her customers. I get new frames every year because she has such a stylish collection. I always get compliments on my glasses! As long as Christine's here, I will never consider contacts! And the price is so much cheaper and selection much better than places like JcPenny or Lens Crafters (I got their frames using a coupon...worst mistake ever! Went straight to recycle!). The frames are so comfortable and stylish! People always ask me where I get my frames. And I tell them from Christine at First Optical. Best optician and selection ever!

I've bought two pairs of eye glasses from here many years ago. I still receive compliments for one of them to this day. My daughter recently bought a pair as well. The prices are very competitive and the services can't be beat. Anyway, I recently dropped my favorite pair of Tiffany sunglasses, stepped on it and broke it. My initial thought was to throw it away and buy something else. However, i haven't found anything as comfortable and look good. So, i took the sunglasses to this place and asked if they can fix it. It took the lady about 10 minutes to fix it and make it look like normal. Amazing!!! She didn't charge me for it. Love the service and dog named Noah here! The dog loves tummy rubs.
