Gloria altered two of my wedding dresses. (To the same husband ;P) The first was an elopement dress that my sister-in-law thrifted for me. It was a size 8, which I am not, but because of the the type of fit, it ALMOST fit. If I sucked in, and someone with a lot of grit zipped the dress, it would fit. But considering we were eloping with no one with us, I didn't want to take the gamble, and so I took it to Gloria. This woman is a dress whisperer miracle worker! She is clearly quite cunning when it comes to getting things to fit. I can't remember what she did exactly, but she realized if you snip this one part, then it's fine. She also recommended putting padding to bring up... the girls. Usually I'm not into padded bras, but I figured for my wedding day it's okay. She taught me how to position the girls so that they look good! :P LOL! It was the perfect dress for my elopement. About a year later, we had a wedding celebration, and I'm a cheapo, so I got a beautiful flower-embroidered quincenera dress at David's Bridal, but it was a size too small. Once again, she was able to slice and dice the dress in this way so that it fit me perfectly. As a Virgo Rising, I am very impressed by her practical detail-orientedness. Her way of using what there is in order to get it to work and for it all to come out perfectly. If you don't think it'll work.... come to Gloria. She will figure it out. We also had a beautiful moment when I came out in my finished wedding celebration dress and she got tear-y! I was quite moved by it since I'm sure she has seen hundreds of brides in their dresses, and yet she was still moved by mine. Highly recommend her!

Absolutely impressed with the meticulous work on my work pants and ongoing alterations for my red organza dress. The lady in charge is highly professional, yet approachable. Highly recommend this skilled alteration store for quality craftsmanship and friendly efficiency!

MARIA IS THE BEST! I took my wedding dress to a tailor in Petaluma to let out a seam. She botched the job and I was panicking. Maria took me in last minute and went above and beyond to fix the poor work, patch holes without asking, and gave me a hug. Beautiful work at an affordable price.
