I was visiting from Austin and was looking for a barber to do a bread trim. I arrived at Manny G’s door, which was closed. From the parking lot, I heard someone ask if I had an appointment, and I said no. Kelli told me she has an appointment this morning, but I can squeeze you in. So awesome! The moment you walk in, you know you’re in a real deal barber shop. She got me taken care of and looking great. If I lived in the area, this would be my go-to barber. Thank you, Kelli. It was great chatting with you.

Well, the appointment I made for another shop whose name I won't mention (Rhymes with Poopercuts) was worth nothing, since they decided not to open today. Needing a cut for my business trip starting tomorrow, I turned to Yelp and found Manny's shop at the top of the list with a ton of five star ratings. It's clear why. Manny is a true professional, a real expert thanks to his longevity in the tonsorial arts. He returned my call within minutes and confirmed he had an appointment this morning. I grabbed and and I'm glad I did. First, Manny is a real "mensch" - a real human being who took the time to introduce me to the other barber working in his shop, shook my hand, really SAW me. He understood before I said it how I wanted my hair to look and he made it look just that way - all while maintaining a friendly banter and keeping me at ease (you never know when a stranger takes sharp instruments to your head, ya know?) I look forward to my return to this establishment, and hope Manny hangs around for a long time - or at least until I move ;) Thanks, Manny!
