“I’ve reviewed many products in the past but never thought I’d be reviewing my dentist. However, the experience I had with Dr. Courtney deserves comment.My first encounter was just for an initial examination. I’ve been going to dentists for my entire 60+ years and have never received such a detailed exam. The state of the art equipment he has is amazing, producing digital images of every tooth and more.My second visit was where the “magic” really began. I needed a crown and have had a few over the years so I knew what to expect, or so I thought. Before the numbing shots they applied a numbing liquid to minimize the pain of the shot, never had a dentist do that and it worked great. The shot was much more tolerable. The drilling also much less of an annoyance than usual. Then he puts another device in my mouth and takes 3D renderings of the tooth to be crowned. Why, because he produces the crown in his office while you wait! No more putty-like goop applied to your teeth to make a mold and wait days or weeks with a temporary crown while the final one is made. I’m watching this 3D-printer-like machine cut and shape the crown before my eyes. While waiting, I receive my cleaning from the hygienist. The crown finishes and it fits perfectly. I leave the facility with a completed crown that feels as though it’s been in my mouth for years.A phenomenal experience at a dental office, who would have thought!Just had my 6-month checkup on December 12, 2023 with Dr. Courtney. Donna, in the front office, continues to be a pleasure to speak with. She is always cheerful, helpful and professional. The x-rays and cleaning process went smoothly and the detail of the inspection of my teeth and gums was astounding! There was no feeling of being "rushed through"! The attention and time spent on me each time I have visited this office is incredible. You can't help but feel valued as a person when visiting Dr. Courtney's office.“

“Dr. Sam and his team are excellent and provided the best dental experience I've ever had. They are gentle and kind and listen well. I have very sensitive teeth and gums and Dr. Sam made me feel very well cared for by explaining everything he was doing, going slowly, and listening when i expressed any discomfort. I also appreciate that he's not in a huge rush with my care plan; my teeth were so sensitive one day so he didn't push too hard and said we'd get the rest done at my next appointment in a few months. I also appreciate how Dr. Sam and his team don't try to make me feel bad or guilty! I think shame is a normal feeling at a dentist these days, but not here. Instead, Dr. Sam explained to me what's going on and how he will fix it. Also very fairly priced! I highly recommend this practice.“

“I had a fantastic experience at Kid's Choice Dental. It was my daughter's first dental experience & I know she would be a bit anxious with this new situation. The wait was short. The staff were friendly, professional, and helped us feel comfortable. We saw Dr. Kim and she was wonderful! She explained what she was going to do, she spoke to my daughter and also let her know what she would do (she's only 2), and she was gentle. She answered all my questions, very thorough! They also helped me get scheduled for my follow up appt. 10/10!“

“Dr. Meinhardt is the best dentist I've ever had, and the only one I've seen in decades! Sorry to say, I've taken him and his staff for granted, and this recommendation is way over due. My ex-husband discovered him before we were married (he wanted an extra gentle dentist on his team since he was also having to go through oral surgery and braces). He was so pleased that I began seeing Dr. Meinhardt, too. He's thorough, and sensitive.Being a pediatric dentist, our daughters grew up with him tending to their dental care. From his friendly down to earth nature to his expertise in delivering local anesthesia, one is immediately set at ease. (He even uses a numbing gel before the shot, and takes the time to administer the anesthesia carefully to lessen discomfort). His hygienists over all these years have been wonderful, and Dawn, his devoted office manager, is a gem. They are all very professional, and caring. He's a great guy with a country comfort LA cool vibe. He's someone who has delivered excellent care every time, and someone I count on.“

“The nicest most genuine people I have ever met at any medical facility. My insurance is weak, so they end up being kind of expensive for me, but the quality of the service is great, so I live with the cost. My current treatment is redoing two root canals and crowns that another dentist, who is no longer in business, did not complete properly. Northridge Dental has the expertise to perform work that two other dentist offices in the valley said they didn’t feel comfortable attempting. I waited until both root canals were completed before providing a review so I could be sure the high level of care was consistent, and it absolutely was. I will continue to come back to Northridge Dental.“

“My previous review was for the business formerly as Northridge Dental with Dr. Shawn Matian who still has a business in Encino called Bio Dental. Northridge Dental then went under new ownership and is now Lavo Dental. I later found out that Dr. Matian's office carried out a claim that I received Invisalign which I never did. Fast forward months later and Dr. Matian's office were still billing my insurance for follow up visits after "receiving Invisalign". The sad thing is that Invisalign is a one time only procedure and Dr. Matian's office almost stripped that from me. Thankfully I filed a grievance and ultimately my insurance sided with me and now I still have the benefit of claiming orthodontics in the future. What Dr. Matian's office did was criminal.When Lavo Dental took over ownership they had reached out to me basically requesting a second chance under the new office/management. The doctor/staff were so welcoming, nice and even apologetic for what I went through at the previous office. Had I not moved from LA I will still be going to this office. Thank you for everything Lavo Dental :)“
