I've been a member of Speakeasy since late 2020. During the pandemic, the gym made cleanliness and member safety a priority. I have frequented several locations including: NOHO, Reseda, DTLA, and Van Nuys, and overall, I've had a positive experience. The facilities are well-maintained, with a wide variety of equipment that caters to all fitness levels. I particularly appreciate the amenities, such as the saunas, steam rooms, and pools (in some locations). The membership population is diverse, featuring your favorite social media influencer, students, and working professionals.
Great gym, good variety of music, clean, and well thought out selection of equipment. Also dark inside with cool dimmed lights so you can work out feeling incognito. Also has different sections so you can disappear if you want to be secluded and not in front of everyone. And when you do want to show out you can do that too. You can get what you need done and the leg section is a plus.
Always had a great experience here with workers and people , but unfortunately I had a bad experience with Stephanie (Night Shift) today. As I was trying to claim a promotion that I received from text about a 10 day free pass to a friend. I signed him up and as we came in to claim she didn't let him in. The text doesn't say anything about living within a 5 mile radius. And as we were asking if it's okay to let him in for just today, she let someone else workout that isn't allowed in . He said he was going to "use the bathroom" and proceeded to workout and never got kicked out. I picked up my friend from 30 min away to come workout because... read full review
