I first saw Dr. Dao for a minor trigger finger issue on my right small finger. She listened attentively to my history, examined my finger and gave me advice for treatments I could do at home. She didn't charge me for her time in this initial consultation and I was astounded at the level of expertise that she provided, free of charge. My trigger finger healed with her suggestions and I am so grateful. Since this, I have seen Dr. Dao for another issue and I trust her evaluation and treatment plans. I have struggled with a sports injury to my left knee since high school (I'm now I'm my 50s). Physicians have told me over the years that exploratory surgery was an option to see if anything could be done. I was finally getting to the point where the knee instability and pain was bothersome enough that I was considering surgical intervention. Thankfully, I found Dr. Dao before agreeing to surgery. Dr Van Dao is an excellant Dr of east Asian medicine. My husband had severe back pain. He went to Scripps Ortho Specialists. They ordered an MRI and sent him to physical therapy. While waiting a month for MRI his pain got worse and he could not walk or sit. The physical therapy was making him worse. MRI shows a tumor inside the spinal chord. He is still awaiting an appt. to the neurologist. Three weeks ago my husband went to Dr. Van Dao to see if acupuncture would help his pain and help his mobility.
