I had worked with Mr Maston on a project for the Mountain View Chamber. He overbills, sends invoices before you review any of the work. I had to go back to the sponsor for extra funds because he exceeded the agreed to budget by over double.
Bill Maston of William Maston Architect and Associates is as good of an architect as you will find anywhere for any project. He is very creative and extremely easy to work with. He is very well connected in the community and this is very helpful when it is necessary to lobby for a project, either with the City or a builder. The results of his work are top notch and I would highly recommend him to design any project, large or small, residential or commercial.
We did a very major remodel with Bill and are thrilled with the result. The design was particularly successful in maximizing a magnificent view and accomplishing a clean, modern, yet warm feel for the interior. The process was highly interactive, and Bill proved to be an excellent collaborator. He listened carefully to our objectives, proposed creative solutions, and guided us through the cost implications of alternative designs. He consistently explained the rationales supporting his design suggestions, and if he thought we were making mistakes he was most diplomatic in inducing course corrections.
