We worked with Silicon Valley Custom Homes on a home extension and are very happy with the results. We found their team to be professional and knowledgeable, and the quality of the work to be consistently high. The entire process from design to permitting, building, and through inspections was smooth and positive for us due to how easy this company is to work with. We would definitely work with them again and have been recommending them to our friends. Speaking to the quality of work, we found their team to be attentive to detail and having a mentality of building to last. These are qualities that we value a lot, which allowed us to delegate more decisions to their team. Their crew was courteous and answered our questions patiently throughout the project. We felt we were properly consulted on the key decisions without being overwhelmed by details. We did find their initial quote to be higher than what we expected based on past experiences with other contractors. However, we learned during the process that they are honest and upfront about their estimates, and we did not get nickel and dimed with cost creeps and change orders during the project. In the end, due to the quality of the materials and workmanship, it was worth the expense and we feel we made good investments in our home.

No empty promises. Jenny is on top of everything, Min is an absolute master, their on the ground team is exceptional, and their subs are a cut above the rest. After having gone through 2 terrible dump truck general contractors for a ADU build that took forever to complete. Everything from false promises to missed deadlines, shoddy and non-existant communication and general ineptitude in design, preparation and execution. Both of the contractors being suggested by friends. Note to self, next time choose your friends more carefully in the future. When you have friends like these, why need enemies? Later I learned that majority GC's are subpar and downright awful and it is ESSENTIAL to find a reputable, skilled and trustworthy GC. There is a reason why many subcontractors are quite hesitant to work with any GC. I learned a lot during this process, which was my first time building a home from the ground up, and I feel a little relieved that it was only for a smaller ADU build and not the main house.I am currently working on constructing a brand new stunning 2 story dream home for the family. I found Silicon Valley Custom Homes through a Yelp search and was impressed by all the wonderful 5-star ratings. So I made the call, and let me just say that I'm so pleased I did! They exceeded all expectations by a landslide! They are a construction company with a full in-house team of general contractor, project manager, building engineer, architect & design team! Everyone on the team is extremely skilled and knowledgeable. Additionally, you can see that they are meticulous, process oriented and always conduct their research. Finding people with such professionalism and commitment to one's craft is something that is harder to find these days. For instance, when I ask a question about design, they not only respond to my question but also offer other options and suggestions. I love that they go into great lengths to explain the ramifications of these design decisions and the advantages and disadvantages, just like an informed expert should do when thinking ahead on the client's behalf! They are also highly communicative and responsive via both phone and email. From Jenny, the CEO, to the other team members, it is clear that these are people who are passionate and are enthusiastic about their profession. And it is evident everywhere, right down to the minute aspects of their building work's planning, design, and craftsmanship. For instance, covering and tarping the wood during construction so that when it rains they don't get wet and expand the wood. A lot of general contractors don't even bother with such detail and care. Many building businesses will cut corners and employ low-quality workers, which will eventually cause serious issues and troubles in your home (foundation, framing, plumbing, etc.). It's one of the last things any homeowner wants, I can tell you of that. Why would you gamble and take chances with one of your biggest assets, your home! Don't roll the dice on your ideal house by hiring a random building firm.It is comforting to know that I am finally in excellent hands because Silicon Valley Custom Homes is an honest and ethical building company that is always transparent.
