“i had my snake aquamated through moorpark vet, and all of the staff were incredibly accomodating and caring throughout the entire process. responses and callbacks were fast, and it took me just over 2 weeks to receive my ashes, which were thoughtfully packed along with a cute wooden plaque with my snake’s imprint on it and a certificate. the process was so smooth which really eased me, and i couldn’t recommend them enough.
the aquamation itself was done through peaceful pets aquamation, which is where moorpark vet does all of their aquamations, so i also absolutely recommend them as well.“

“Dr. Watson came to our home and helped us say goodbye to our family pet, twice. Her compassion, professionalism and strength helped us say goodbye in a very loving way. We strongly recommend that if you have to make this decision for your pet, it’s so much easier to have someone come to your home, where they feel safe and comfortable instead of taking your pet to a cold sterile environment.
Both times, our dogs were in our arms, in front of the fire place with pieces of steak in hand. It’s done quickly and with dignity. Dr Watson was so kind to us. She then took the dogs with her. We had the option to have their ashes if we wanted them.
We now have 2 dogs again. And when the time comes, we wouldn’t hesitate about who to reach out to. It would be Dr Watson.“

First, the costs were very affordable for high-quality care.
Second, the staff is SO helpful and compassionate. They were great with my wiggly cat, and everyone, front staff and Dr. Holly, was very responsive to my questions and anxieties about the procedure.
Third, her teeth look great. The care she received from start to finish was top notch.

I have notice a trend where Animal hospital are beginning to allow the staff to be rude, I know everyone is overwhelmed but it’s not acceptable, especially in rural areas like Tehachapi. “Animal Clinic of the Oaks is exceptional! I am fostering two kittens and needed a local vet. Under the caring and nurturing eye of Dr. Chris Deam and his staff, they did a GREAT JOB with them! They empathized when they saw how restless I was in bottle feeding these little ones when I brought them in the box. They took them to the back and they came back dewormed with just a few drops and with eye ointment for the little runt who couldn't open his eyes. Kitties and momma foster (me!) are extremely happy to have settled and healthy kitties again! Totally affordable and they offer insurance plan pamphlets. Thank you to such a great staff of loving fur baby caretakers and to a great vet who LOVES his patients!“

“We wanted a second opinion for our Havanese with chronic bloody stools and vomiting . We were told by his previous vet he has colitis. The little guy has struggled with this on and off for over three years but just recently, it was getting more frequent and extremely scary!! After forking our almost $900.00 for an office visit, medications, and being told it could be Colitis and IBS - pancreatitis was ruled out by a blood test - the bloody stools still continued. I found recommendations for Dr. Novy on the Nextdoor App. As with any change, we were skeptical!! However, we found Dr. Novy to be caring, empathetic and knowledgeable! We stopped all the previous medications, Sucralfate, Pepcid and metronidazole to following Dr. Novy's prescriptions and suggestions. Our little guy is doing so much better!! It's been almost a month without any bloody stools! We went from losing hope to enjoying our little guy's bouncing back to his old self each day. Most importantly, Dr. Novy kept tabs on our little guy's progress everyday!! Yes, everyday he wanted us to call in to check in and didn't hesitate at all to answer all of my d*** questions without judgment!! One evening, about 7 PM, I received a call which showed Valley Vet. I just assumed an employee was calling to check up on our little guy. I was shocked it was Dr. Novy himself!!! Thank you Dr. Novy!! Additionally, a quick shout out to the staff!! Thanks for always handling my panicked calls - yes calls - several a day - with so much professionalism and patience!! To top it off, we received a - Thank you - Card for having selected them to be our Vet!! Very classy!“

The facility is older and I LOVED the warm atmosphere; don't change a thing. You could tell so many fur families have been cared for here. Everything was spotless and organized. “I want to counteract the one star review left in the Fall of 2023. Dr. Spitzer was just at my house this afternoon to put down our senior dog via Lap of Love. She was wonderful. I met her outside at her car, and we talked a little bit about the decision before she came in and I was able to tell her some details about Rocket. We talked more with her as a family when she came inside. At no point did we feel rushed or that she wasn’t completely gentle with him. She explained everything she was going to do before doing it and then again before she did each step. She was talking to him throughout and she also paid attention to our other dog who was curious/stressed and growling at her. (He stopped growling the minute Rocket passed). I felt the service was excellent and exactly what I had envisioned. At no point did Rocket appear stressed or worried about what was happening.“

“We had our 7 month old pup visit paw works for his pre op blood screening and neuter. He was boarded with paw works during this time and they took the best care of him. Incredibly loving and knowledgeable staff. Services provided from their animal hospital have very fair charges. Will only be using Paw works from further on!“
