“My wife and I spent the two years since we moved into our house in Marina, CA, thinking about what to do about our backyard. We obtained a bid from one local landscaping company. When we received their proposal, we realized they had not listened very well to what we wanted. We were then referred by a friend to Frances Krebs at Black Diamond Paver Stones & Landscaping.

Frances met with us and listened closely to what we wanted and didn’t want. Her proposal was pretty much spot on. She provided invaluable guidance on selecting the pavers that complemented the color palette of our back yard (Belgard Avalon Slate, Bella). We were delighted with the selection of plants she chose. Frances is a Monterey area resident, and she is very familiar with the climate and soil in our area. All in all she helped create exactly what we wanted from the barest concept we initially expressed.

We anticipated the demolition and installation process would be noisy, dirty and disruptive. However, job foreman Suri and his crew did everything they could to minimize the disruption. We appreciated that to the maximum extent the crew used electric powered tools as opposed to noisy gasoline powered ones. Frances checked on the progress of the job throughout. The entire process was completed on schedule and exactly as specified. Their attention to detail was remarkable. Black Diamond has a relatively large footprint in this state. Having a a local contact who could be on site within minutes was essential to the success of the undertaking.

In projects like this there can be an unfortunate difference between cost and value. That was certainly not the case with Black Diamond.
