I was a little disappointed that the majority of the machines were dirty. Overall this is a nice gym that has a lot of amenities. I really enjoy the sauna and hotub..for 34$ a month it's not a bad deal at all for what they have..just wish it was a tad cleaner. This review is specific to the Monterey location.
I travel extensively for work and frequent Monterey. This is my "home-gym away from my home-gym". This gym offers nearly everything I look for when becoming a member at gyms. The facility itself is actually rather small in my opinion, BUT they've managed to fit everything in without it feeling overly cramped.Group classes are fun and upbeat, although I do wish there was opportunity to for 1-more frequent yoga classes, 2-more advanced yoga classes...but thats ok.The sauna and steam room are a good plus to me, along with the lap swim and racket rooms.My biggest complaint is that the free wights are literally NEVER in order. I like the child care. It is one of the best parts of my membership. The staff there are great and the play area is a lovely size. My kids love it and my wife and I can workout without worries. The yoga class on Saturday morning with Mariana is fantastic. She is one of the best teachers I have had. Mariana's class is different every week. It is obvious that she spends a great deal of time and energy focusing each class on a different area of the body. Her class is always packed and she needs to teach at least 2 or 3 more classes a week. Susana is a great yoga teacher as well with her yoga flow
