Elizabeth is, hands down, the best hairdresser I've ever had. Here are my top three reasons why: 3. When I was still coloring my hair, she used a vegetable dye color that kept my hair healthier and not stinky upon walking out of her salon. 2. The technique Elizabeth has used to cut my hair for the past 10 years keeps my hair looking great, despite the fact I have straight hair with weird waves. She works with my hair rather than against it. 1. Elizabeth is a pro and executes each hair treatment as an artist. She's clear and direct with her clients about what's best for their hair. I always leave Heads Up Hair Studio feeling great - cut, style, conversation, all top notch!
Elizabeth is the owner and hair designer that has made miracles out of my gray bob to a blonde highlighted young beach themed style taking 20 years off my face and scalp. One-chair service makes the services more personal with humor and speed. She has multiple years of experience running her own shop with two-chair charming design. Open Saturdays help those who work during the day. She offers reasonable prices and small array of products she uses for sale. I've used several salons in the Monterey area but this is by far the best.Try it yourself rather just trusting me. A great hair salon is so important... This one is one of the best.
I have been going to Heads Up Hair Studio since 2002. There is no one who can cut and color my hair as well as Elizabeth can. She cuts the styles that are best for my face and lifestyle. She can highlight my hair in about a hour, where most places take 3 hours because I have so much hair. Since I moved out of the area in 2007, I have continued to drive back down to Monterey because everyone else I have tried just doesn't do my hair right. Currently I drive 170 miles one way just to see Elizabeth. Not sure what I will do when she retires, because she is that good. Elizabeth is also no nonsense. She shoots from the hip, tells you exactly what you should know about your hair, even when it is something you may not what you want to hear. I totally respect this honesty.
