My kids have been students in this dojo for just over a year.We brought our kids here because they asked - they saw the dojo as we walked by, and to them, it looked like it was fun. They were right.Our first introductory lesson (complimentary) was what my wife and I needed to set us at ease and ensure us that we were making the right decision for our kids (five, seven). The staff here have a teaching style that our kids (and many kids) can relate to. My teen boys started attending this studio shortly after COVID hit, since with schooling online I wanted to make sure they had physical outlets to disperse some of that testosterone! And it applied to their PE credit for their online schooling. The senseis do a great job of being fun but also keeping order in class and definitely challenge my boys. It’s not cheap but it’s well worth it in my opinion. The studio is always clean and smells good (I’ve been to some other locations and have not felt the same) and it’s easy to reschedule private lessons if things come up.

We highly recommend this studio. We started going here over a year ago. Our daughter expressed an interest in learning Martial arts and we decided to give USSD a chance since it was nearby our home. We were immediately impressed with the techniques that the sensei's used to teach-they make it so fun. Sense Shehan, Sensei Tony, and Sensei Nate all were amazing in helping our daughter test and pass for 5 different belts in a just a year and half. They let each student work at their own pace and really take the time to get to know each student what helps them thrive.
