My 80 year old husband was very stressed about his upcoming tests with this group- even though he had had these same tests before at this location. Each and every staff member was outstanding at explaining everything they were doing and going over instructions to each part of the two tests- IV, x-rays, sonogram, etc. A special shout out goes to Rita and Amy E who handled the nuclear test and managed to put him totally at ease. Thanks to all!
I am a new patient of Dr Desai. I really like him, and his office staff. My first appointment I received a call that Dr Desai was held over at the hospital and could I reschedule. They then called me back that he could actually make it so I rushed over. They made copies of all paperwork I brought them, including a huge report from a 24 hour holter monitor. They do not validate parking however that day they did for me, which I thought was so nice. I had an EKG done and then spoke with Dr Desai to go over why I was there. He said he had my paperwork but wanted to hear from me. I liked that - a doctor who listens and communicates is a great quality. He put in for three tests for me which I had completed today, in the suite right next to their office. Echo Cardiogram, Treadmill Stress Test and then have a week long heart monitor put on. I had to reschedule the heart monitor due to reasons on my end. I was in the office for about 2 1/2 hours today and I had different people for each test. Everyone was so incredibly nice and efficient. I sat between tests for about an hour in the ladies waiting room. It was freezing and it felt so good. They did leave me a blanket however I didn't use it. I always run hot so the cold air felt so good. The Echo Cardiogram was uncomfortable at times but easy. The Treadmill Stress Test sucked. I didn't last long lol. I did try to talk through most of it however realized I needed to shut up at one point and just get through it. They take your blood pressure every couple minutes and you can see the screen with your heart rate. I got a really horrible pain so I think it was ended a bit quicker than maybe usual. You have to continue to sit afterward to monitor your blood pressure still every couple minutes until it goes back to normal and until your heart rate goes back under 100. While I don't want to do that again any time soon (haha) they were so nice and accommodating and comforting. Great staff. Everything about Dr Desai, his staff, and the staff in the testing suite are amazing. I just found out today I don't think he's covered on my insurance that is changing 9/1 and I am REALLY upset about it. It's hard to find such a great practice so we'll see what happens. They are located in the medical building on the corner, UNDER Mission Hospital - NOT the same lot as the hospital. Also, as a reminder, they do not validate parking and parking is NO CASH.
