“I’ve been getting haircuts for my son here for over a year now. He was 11 months old now he’s 2! When we came here I was looking for someone very patient & friendly with kids. Heather made a great connection with my son showing him the water spray, the scissors, & the clippers. She’s a pro at making them comfortable. From his first haircut from another barber he was traumatized and has come a long way. If you are looking for the right place to take your kid for a haircut Heather is amazing. Do your kid a favor and steer clear of traumatizing that will give haircuts a pain in the butt to go get. Heather is perfect for your kids haircuts.

Requested style: We normally do short hair with scissors only. Baby was comfortable with clippers so Heather took her time introducing it to him. It was great.“

“We got my daughter's hair done at a Fantastic Sam’s, they did not follow the cut/pic requested. Infact it was barely cut. We called the Van Buren location & spoke to Evelyn. Even though they’re different owners, Evelyn offered to fix her hair at no cost. My daughter was devistated, so we were so thankful. She was so sweet, personable, & great at what she does! She did exactly what we wanted! So not only did she do this correction for free but my daughter’s hair looks amazing! The “least” I can do is a review how awesome a job she did! Go to the Van Buren location! All the ladies were just as awesome too!

“OK this might sound like too much, but I feel so lucky to have found Paula. I have spent years trying to learn about wigs, and assuming they all make your head feel like a blast furnace (an itchy blast furnace), and were something to be tolerated to look good for a few hours. Paula looked at my last "good hair" picture I took before I had cancer years ago, and brought out a human hair wig that was instantly comfortable. She explained what makes a good wig, that human hair is cooler, and that a wig should not be torture. She styled it, trimmed it, carefully explained how to care for it. She is an exceptionally kind, patient and caring person with a huge heart. You will love her. I am thrilled with the wig, it feels so silky I just want to keep running my fingers through it. Oh, there's more! Paula will clean and style your wig for a very reasonable amount! Yes! I have never been able to duplicate the work that a hair stylist makes look easy, so this is a huge plus. I feel so lucky to have found Paula, if you're like me and are struggling to navigate the world of wigs, you don't get any better than this.“
