“Bonito Painting came to us by a referral from a friend. Juan, the owner, was very sincere and honest and usually responded quickly to my text/email. We replaced windows at our house so we needed the house’s exterior to be painted entirely. We also asked the gazebo in the backyard to be painted. Juan and I met several times to discuss the scope of the project. I pointed out a few things I need fixed before painting: the rotten eve, a leaking gutter, the cracked front entrance door, and unwanted fixtures we put on the wall (old satellites dish stands and old surveillance cameras.)

Juan’s quote was honest and fitted our budget. After we decided to go with him, he asked a Sherwin Williams person to meet us at our house to pick the paint color. We wanted to have a lighter color this time. Once we decided a few possible colors we wanted to try, Juan came again to paint those colors on the wall to help us decide which one we liked the most. To have a more accurate result, he waited the paint to dry and painted the 2nd coat so we could have a clear view of what the color will look like on our house. We wanted a lighter color for our house overall but we also wanted to keep same colors on different parts of the house. He helped us to match the color we wanted to keep the same from Kelly Moore paint to Sherwin Willaims paint. He sent his guy again to paint those matching colors on the wall for us to see. Juan was good at matching those colors! It turned out they were almost identical so we didn’t have to try other similar colors.

When they started the project, there were a lot of prep work. They spent a great deal of time to well prepare the house for the painting. They power washed the wall, removed fixtures we wanted to be removed, fixed the eve and the gutter, patched holes and cracks on eves and walls, prep the front door, and finally covered all windows. It took them 3 days to do all these preparations! Once that was done, the painting itself went smoothly and quickly! Our house was a bigger size with 2 floors. It took them 5 days to finish. After everything was done, they washed the ground again and picked up all trash/debris.

“In 2018, Joaquin and his crew installed a beautiful, custom-designed iron gate at the side of my house. The gate opens up to a large parking area. Recently, I accidentally drove my car through the closed gates, knocking one part of the gate slightly askew and bending the rods that go into the ground to hold the gate in place when the doors are closed. Joaquin and his assistant came out and did a beautiful job of fixing the gate. Joaquin is a perfectionist and worked on it until it was perfect. I highly recommend him if you need any of his services.“

We had two large fences that need to be replaced, debris hauled away, roots taken out, a new irrigation system that needed to be installed, sod rolled out, and many plants planted.
It is hard to find a company that will do everything with such good quality and good price. Miguel is very comfortable when he is working. He frequently works alongside his workers together.

“It's been about a month since Isaiah and his team installed our new driveway gate, everything is still working just as it had on day 1 and we are definitely satisfied with the end result! Isaiah was very patient and did not feel pushy while my wife and I were reaching out to various builders to obtain quotes. His quote was the most competitive in the area and once we were ready to move forward, things moved amazingly quickly! It felt like the whole process took less than a week. Isaiah ensured to provide multiple sets of samples so that we could feel confident about the stain/finish of the wood we were going with and installation only took two separate visits. He installed a LiftMaster motor which has been very quiet and we are able to control the motor via the MyQ app as well. I was most impressed with Isaiah presentation and tucking of all the wires, everything looks very clean. I have no doubts Isaiah would be responsive if any other future issues were to arise. “I had an excellent experience with V&M Ornamental Ironworks, Phelan Street, San Jose. (There are others with similar names.) The rail was beautifully done, and the design that was jointly created by Mario and me Is perfect. I have had many compliments. Mario is a good communicator, finished everything in a timely manner with excellent workmanship. I decided on the powder coating, even though it was more expensive. I think that was a good choice for durability. The rail installers did a beautiful job. All was done within the time frame that was promised. If I have need for any more ironwork, I will go to V&M Ornamental Ironworks. I am very pleased and although more expensive than pre-fab or mail order, well worth it.“
