Chalita has been of invaluable assistance with helping me process emotions from deep tissue CPTSD release work. She is definitely the most gifted/skillful acupuncturist I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I feel extremely blessed to have found her during this difficult (but exciting!) phase of my life, where I am decreasing body armor/numbness. I am grateful the fees of her very affordable "community sessions" puts this healing modality within my financial means.
Chiro? check Massage? check Cleanse? check Acupuncture? Needed, and the little voice said it was time to find a local practitioner. I have had two previous experiences with acupuncture, and believe and trust its benefits. Had a back injury in the early 90's, designated permanent and stationary, and have been anything but, refusing to become stagnant by staying active, but every now and then the back locks up and can slow me down for days. Recently was in an extended funk, and started researching to find a local resource. Fortunately in Marin there are a lot of providers with positive reviews and feedback. As I filtered through, Tamalpais Community Acupuncture stood out to me. Booking online was simple and easy, and the following Monday had first appointment. Easy to find in Mill Valley, office has a holistic vibe and energy is good. I booked w Chalita, who is so kind and made the entire brief introduction process simple. Treatment and cupping were super effective and after two visits I was back at it getting after life!!! For many, myself included, the thought of being poked with a bunch of needles is not a pleasant one, and that is what it is. What I will also say, is while in simple terms I understand the healing benefits of acupuncture, Chalita is really great at explaining and providing insight in a way that further supported why I was there, and why I will keep going for regular health benefits. Worth mentioning is there are two treatment options, private, and a small community type area with two or three chairs. Having the latter provides and opportunity to make treatments more affordable and reach more people, which is really cool and reflects the authentic healing nature I experienced. Appreciate finding - thank you
I've been seeing Chalita for about six years now, beginning when I was post-partum with my first son. She has seen me through a second pregnancy, not to mention so many other random injuries and accidents - from a torn ligament in my elbow to a ruptured eardrum. I always feel soooo much better after seeing her. She is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, supportive, and effective. I also love that the community acupuncture model is more affordable allowing for more frequent treatment. Highly recommended!
