Maria was absolutely a life saver. We were in a bind to get my daughter's prom dress altered before her prom. We only had 3 days to work with. I called every where locally and all were booked. Maria was recommended to me by a family member and she asked us to come that day. Although she was busy she felt bad about our situation (our original seamstress had a family emergency). I thought it would be difficult with all the beading. The back of the dress had the exact same beading as the front, and there was a train with beads around the bottom. We needed it gone. The BEST place to get alterations done; but the customer needs to take into account how busy she is to be able to get whatever you need done, done. She will tell you if she's too busy or won't be able to complete a job in your timeframe; especially if it's LITERALLY a list minute thing. I've only gone to her twice in the last 10 years, both for wedding purposes, and she always does an amazing job. I only feel bad that its just her; that's ALOT to take on all by yourself.

Great place to get all your tailoring, clothing alterations and other sewing needs taken care of in Merced. Maria is great at what she does and she can even repair some miscellaneous items like bags etc... read full review
