In tandem with my nephrologist, Dr Steven Tilles, Dr Cohen's treatment is curing me of chronic kidney disease. I will take the pills he dispenses the rest of my life to keep from getting CKD again. I am very grateful for this miracle worker.
Dr Cohen was recommended to me by a good friend. He was able to secure a legal medical leave from my company and then treated me for severe depression (and anxiety) plus memory issues (lack of focus) successfully. His supplement recommendations enabled me along with his gentle demeanor worked miracles. My work as a software programmer improved greatly due to his help. I heartily recommend his services based on my experience with him **
If there were any more stars, he should earn the, eg 10/10. My visit to Dr Cohen was a - lack of a better term -- revelation. He is a prime example of a situation where one finds the wholly grail by accident instead of when actively looking for it, eg. don't find your wallet when looking for it, but u find it later without looking. I booked an appt for an insane back problem, of which I'm highly confident has been the result of the underlying cause of my CFS/ME condition. Regardless, I only brought up the complaint about the back. After coming in, filling out forms, and then finally sitting down to talk, Dr Cohen spends a minute to review my completed form. He then asks me how I was diagnosed with CFS/ME. Of course, my intent was only to talk about the back because at this point I have totally and completed written off most if not all medical professionals (after seeing 18 different doctors, going through 40 different visits -- acupuncturists, western doctors, chiropractors, naturopaths, functional medicine doctors, and having spent my entire life savings on bullshit...healthcare). Back to the topic: we begin slightly debating about autoimmune diseases all the while I'm still thinking we should talk about the back only. It turns out that this man, has essentially transcended medicine in my humble opinion. A real life House if u will. In fact if any ever asks me who the show House was modeled after I will point them towards Dr Cohen. Someone else eluded to Dr Cohen as a medical investigator. I would totally 2nd that opinion. Let me digress a little here: The single most notorious issue that -- excuse the pun -- plagues 99% of western doctors today (maybe 40% of acupuncturists) is the lack of investigative and intelligent know how and drive to truly figure out what's wrong with someone. Every other problem one can site is more of a derivative or driver behind this primary focus. But, once you get through all the bullshit in life, many will realize that the fundamental cause of unable doctors lies with human nature: to only recognize and accept that which one has learned and is comfortable with. Which then yields arrogance, and ultimately an unfairly treated patient, medicinely, psychologically, etc One of Bruce Lee's pet peeves, and a focus of his teachings was the idea that we should not lock ourselves into a particular style or method of doing something, or else we will suffer the fate of limitation and trying to force something which is ineffective for a situation, eg you don't always use karate to solve a problem, not even all confrontation problems. Dr Cohen reminds me of the adoption of the philosophy to not limit oneself, especially in medicine.
