What an amazing experience! My husband and I could not have been any more happier. The staff were amazing. Robert went above and beyond for us. He was truly magnificent. The view was breathtaking. We had our marriage there right on the beach. Could not have asked for a better location. I also love how dog friendly this place is. Truly breathtaking. The rooms were beautiful and charming. To listen to the ocean at night as we went to sleep was so peaceful. We were so sad to leave. My husband and I will definitely be back. Thank you to Robert and the staff for everything.

Clean, beautiful room, with so many extras included. My two teen daughters and I book a room for just 1 night (not many places are flexible to allow just 2 night) before a tour of CSUMB. Robert. Upgraded us so that we could stay in a room close to my sister and BIL. They have dogs and always stay at the sanctuary, but thus was our first time. They had smores kits for my daughters, dinner was excellent at the restaurant, shuttles for me (mobility impaired). It was quiet, we had a great night's rest. If either kid goes to Monterey Bay we'll be staying here every visit.

This was mostly a great experience, but I did feel like there were a few things that were off. To start with the good, the service was AMAZING - everyone was so nice, helpful, and good conversationalists. The room set-up was also amazing, as was the lobby. There is a pool/hot tub on site which looked great but we did not have the opportunity to try them out. We did also like that all refreshments placed in the room (except alcohol) are complementary - and there were different varieties of items so we loved that. We also LOVED the fire pits and extra blanket in the room to take with us. Now for the things that were "off". Unfortunately, the bed wasn't that great - in the room we were in, the bed was very squeaky and could have even had a broken bedframe. For the way that they describe the rooms, I understand why places would advertise "ocean front" rooms, but what is much more accurate is "ocean facing" - yes, I could see the ocean - but it was viewed through the breaks in between other people's units, so I don't think that's really ocean front. We also noticed that some of the buildings looked different than others and my husband looked into it, apparently the back half of buildings are timeshares which is weird and would have been helpful to know as a guest. Lastly, the breakfast that they offer is THROUGH THE ROOF expensive. It was like $19 for avocado toast and like $35 for eggs and bacon. Obviously hotel food is always more expensive than anywhere else, but these prices just seemed INSANE. I'm not sure I would stay here again.
